I wish that everyone recall what this tune really is about. For those who don't know it's about the one who came unto this world bringing peace and the keys to eternal salvation. Sometimes because we are so human we forget the most important things that are right in front of our faces. Usually the struggles occur over control which generally has something to do with human desires of control and money. Satan is sneaky in his ways. Please get back to singing and praising Jesus the King of Kings!

Heck yeah!! Andy Powell and Wishbone Ash going strong after 40 years.. This lineup is stellar!! by most accords better than the original !! and blows the wannabee band by a jealous former member out of the water!! Mart is grabbing at straws to keep his 'name' viable....he quit or was dismissed as some say for a reason, why wont his supporters admit that ??..and we all know why!!

Rock on Andy and Wishbone Ash!! still rocking, touring and recording to this day!!

I love Wishbone Ash but can't get excited any more by this tribute band. Martin Turner,Steve Upton and Ted Turner must surely cringe at this sham. Sooner they reform the better.

You are right Gigmare. I shouldn't have called them a tribute band. However, to call this band the "Real Deal" is blatantly nonsense. It's Andy Powell's Wishbone Ash. I'm looking forward to seeing the other original members re-group as the "REAL DEAL" WISHBONE ASH. Hope Andy gets on board.

Andy Powell has never left WA and he's kept it alive! By legal right it's his, and he shouldn't have to change the name. Martin Turner started his own band named Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, go and have a look if you want. It would be nice to see the original members regrouping, but I can't see it happening.

I know what is going on Gigmare. Martin called his band Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash in order to get his band on the road. The reason being that he needed time and space to contest Andy. Just because Andy grabbed the name after manipulating affairs. Martin has publicly stated that he NEVER willingly left Wishbone Ash. Martin has saved Andy's bacon on at least two occasions for the fans' sakes. Martin has Wishbone Ash running through his veins. You will see soon that Martin is WA in truth.

If all you're going to do is degrade this line up of WA then go and watch videos of the original band members and don't go watching things you won't like and then put comments like that on. And does Martin hold a fan covention every year? I think not.

It may have escaped your notice that ashcon is organised by the fans for the fans. There is an open invite to all past and present members of WA. Martin was coming to the first one but tragically his Father died that day. Martin has attended ashcon and would have attended many more if circumstances were favourable. The last time he attended Andy changed the songs that he was to join in on. Mart had practised the songs that Andy had asked him to but andy did the dirty on him by changing songs.

Andy asked Martin if he wanted to play in the 40th anniversary concert (in May), which Martin refused. Also, I don't want this turning into an Andy vs Martin thing so let's leave it.

I think you'll find that Martin,Steve and Ted are more than willing to have a full blown reunion for the 40th anniversary instead of just being guests of the Andy Powell band. Andy has been invited to join the three other original band members. Let's just wait and see what happens. OK let's leave it here.

I've seen a lot of bands that should not be playing anymore, Wishbone Ash is NOT one of those bands, Andy keeps the flame burning. I've seen them half a dozen times since 1978, every time with a different line up - just an incredibly great band.

Hi davesfence. I've followed the Ash for 37 years, and the music lives on and through Andy's tireless efforts (it's No Easy Road). I applaud the talent at his side over the years and the direction his new material has taken, as well as Martin's resurgence onto another scene and Ted's occasional appearances. I must agree with jockyburns - While the faces may change, the music remains, and I'll be waiting at the Winchester for Andy and whoever shows up with him.

Davesfence, it is the Real Deal, just with different members. Unlike Martin, Andy did not leave and try to start another band named Wishbone Ash. He's kept going through the 40 years of WA. If you think that there can only be an original band then WA wouldn't be touring today.

At this concert Ted Turner did join them on stage for quite a few songs. Almost all bands go through lineup changes over the years. If you only like the original then thats very sad

How do you know the original WA won't reform? Andy has never had to keep the name going. That insinuates that the others just left. Especially Martin Turner. Martin was forced out of the band and was also told his services were no longer required by Andy. Seems to me Andy has manipulated the circumstances to get the use of the name for his own benefit. He doesn't own the name. He has a 1/4 share with the other originals. Let's just see what happens soon. Nothing sad about only liking original WA

Went to see "the mighty" ash at a relatively small local venue to me with my parents(ok not very cool for a 25 year old)but absolutely loved it.It was at The Cheese And Grain in frome wiltshire and they tore the place down.Six months later saw Joe bonamassa there, another great gig.
