This song and music video really carries a great message. There really is an audience for positive life choices and love, and until I saw this video, I did not think there was a vehicle or group to carry that message. Homeless is a special song, this is a solid piece of music, and depiction of life.
I grew up in the country,never knew anything about homeless people until I went to California last year to be on a game show. I was sitting at the pool & this nice guy came up & talked to me. Very polite and intelligent man with the same glowing eyes as the man in this video ! I was there for 2 weeks and became best friends with "Joe", he was sleeping at the pool in a chair and wearing the same clothes. I had my travel companion give him clothes out of of his luggage, we bought him dinner.
@lakeladymel And we talked him into getting an apartment ! He has a job now and is doing great. I talk to him every week. "Uncle Joe" , so proud of you !!!!
If I was homeless, id never stay in the city. I would go into the wilderness and try to survive out there. The wilderness is much better then the depressing city's. The city's are just filled with inconsiderate assholes that only think of themsevles. They are so inpatient too. Always in a hurry to get to there next hair appointment, shopping spree, or night of partying to drink there problems away. Maybe its just me and my hate for society, but I would be alot more happier in the wild.
And being a female makes it even scarier we've been homeless for ten months. If I wasn't going thru this with my family I don't know what I would have done. But still "GOD IS GOOD." we could be in a woreser situation then this, some people say what I mean by "GOD IS GOOD" like one of us could be very sick, and thank God that I don't have a lil brother or sister going thru this we wouldn't have enough to feed them,or worse one of us could be dead! I saw a homeless man on the side of the interstate and he had a sign saying 'Hungry'. And I had just went to the grocery store and bought some and I was heading home, so I stopped and had a bag of chips. And told him to take them and he told me the bag was too big. I'm like.. Your sign says that you are hungry and no matter what food is food. And he still didn't take it. So I'm sure all he wants is drug money.
I have been the first time in the usa (L.A.) in 1987. All the poor homeless people in downtown ...that was a big shock for me. Never saw so poor people here in germany....

If you think a homeless person might use the money negatively you can carry around a few 5 dollar gift cards to subway/mcdonalds/taco bell wherever to know where your money is going. OR you could give money and pray that they use it the right way because you know the important part is that you did your part to help another human being.

I saw a homeless man on the side of the interstate and he had a sign saying 'Hungry'. And I had just went to the grocery store and bought some and I was heading home, so I stopped and had a bag of chips. And told him to take them and he told me the bag was too big. I'm like.. Your sign says that you are hungry and no matter what food is food. And he still didn't take it. So I'm sure all he wants is drug money.

I have been the first time in the usa (L.A.) in 1987. All the poor homeless people in downtown ...that was a big shock for me. Never saw so poor people here in germany....
