The government doesn't want to legalize it because most of the plant is grown in foreign countries and they're afraid that it's going to get them in trouble with more countries. I think they shouldn't be scared and just do it because it's less addictive than most drugs, it would bring in the monayyy, it doesn't take much for people to get high, and all it does is relax you for the most part unlike alcohol which can make you violent, stupid and worst of all truthfulxD

And sure marijuana is safer than alcohol and tobacco
Bur the major problem i have with that is that you dont mention that marijuana can be harmfull to the lungs just as harmfull as smoking any herb, (daminia, passion flower, mugwort etc.) The only real ways marijuana can be safe is if people use vapes, or ingest it using thc enriched cooking oils and foods.
But i mean the benifits of marijuana outweighs the "benifits" of alcohol and has a HUGE amount less of dependency, abuse, and toxicity

Also think, the DEA gets billions of dollars from busting drug cartels (but wastes alot of it trying to catch them in the first place)
But anywais, i do also agree with the fact that religious groups are pressing against marijuana but hey, you will allways have haters, if your not going to win gay rights, abortion rights, or creationism being taught in schools, how are you going to win a fight with them for marijuana? D; But yeah. I didnt feel like typing all i had to say so.
TL;DR VERSION: mj has some good effects and bad ones,m but its hard cause the gov makes bs about it.
