How do you know this particular store's puppies come from a commercial breeder who actually mistreats dogs as you describe? Instead, it sounds like you're protesting what might be, not what is. Regardless, in my experience, most independant breeders, inexperienced and ill-informed, are often as bad or worse.

Why should animal shelters have the minopoly on "Selling puppies"?

Do you really think pet store owners could pay rent & make a living from selling pet food & collars, when most people buy such products at the supermarket?

Do you think people who pay $500 for a puppy in a pet store will mistreat or abandon that dog, or rather the people who get a puppy for free or cheap?

Animal shelters do not sell puppies, I don't see shelters making an obscene profit like pet stores but having to put sleep dogs because they don't have enough money/room/funds to take care of the thousand dogs they rescue. And just because ignorant people keeps going to pet stores and breeding their pets.

Like almost all the problems in this world, it's all about ignorance. You are the one that should stop watching disney and grabbing a book sometime.

Gramophoneshane doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. It's not the puppies that are being sold in these stores that we are worried about, it's the poor breeder dogs who are forced to breed over and over again without proper shelter, nutrition,or veterinary care that makes me sick!I am not affiliated with this group,but I foster rescued mill dogs for another group, they are in horrible mental and physical condition when they come into my home,not to mention the stench! Do your homework
