Also using youtube/google's analytics, any common user can see where real viewing traffic is coming from for any given video at any given time.

This should aid contest hosts in discovering what videos are generating realistic traffic and which are user manipulated.

It is impossible for a couple of these entries to have more unique views than the sum total of the Schick contest page views plus the the number of views to their video(s) from the contest ad linking sites. This is an obvious red flag for Schick to look carefully at attempts to falsify unique visitors and votes.

Hopefully they'll use a judging panel because everyone uploaded their videos at the end but Schick didn't make them ready for view on their site until after the voting was finished. Obviously that doesn't make too much sense because about 40 other videos were added to the list at the last minute and weren't allowed to be voted on. So hopefully they'll use a judging panel instead of counting "votes" because half the videos don't even have votes.

yeh the way it was set up is has inherent conflict and creates a bias. Allowing to submit and vote during the same period created a few problems. Also nearly everyone that WAS able to be voted on probably had a less than 50% rating anyway because all the people that uploaded last could vote against existing videos beforehand for weeks. So there may not even be 20 videos with a %50 or better approval rating anyway.

It says they will ultimately choose the top 20 at their discretion in the rules under "voting period". It would make sense given the circumstances that they may be simply using the votes as input.
