I fix people backs after they have been overloading like you for years... you have 3 kinds of muscles- body builders only focus on 1 type. that means you are missing 2/3's what it takes to be disease free and 110% healthy :)

    Well from my knowledge elite bodybuilders go on stage at a different weight than what they walk around at. In order to obtain that special bone dry look I believe as much as 5% of the body's weight is reduced due to dehydration techniques.

    I don't know all the ins and outs of competition, but I would imagine talking about his weight and exact measurements might be a slight disadvantage for competition.

  • Darren I think you are doing a great job... really inspirational. I think what you need to work on is thickness/girth. you are wide and shredded. maybe do a day where you do 10 set of 6 on the bench or something to make your traps a little thicker. once again great job

  • @MetalDrummer09 hes pretty low on energy given the fact that he is 4 weeks out from his comp so having a spotter there for stability really doesn't mean he needs a spotter, its precaution.

  • @MetalDrummer09 spotting is always needed if u want to push your strength because u could get weak at any point and if you got no one to quickly grab the weight u can injure yourself very badly. Also a spotter ensure good form. Always a good thing to have a spotter.

  • @tvain86 you think i dont know what i spotter does? a spotters job is to help you get the weights in starting/ending postion(if needed) and help you rep out on the last few(not every rep). if you need a spotter to help you on every rep then clearly the weight is too heavy

  • @MetalDrummer09 I think the spotter was more for safety reasons. Imagine if he injured himself now, would probably ruin his chances in the upcoming event hes training for. The spotter could have been applying minimal if any force ya know

    I was doing 90 lbs ( on positive slope !! ) when I was 200 lbs (at 6.3") at about 14 % body fat, which is sucks :)
