I've been watching Seinfeld since 1997, seen every episode several times. For me though, this last scene has it all. Not the whole episode, but this dovetail at the end. It's just very smooth, quick, natural and smart. And fun. George shows himself (going from bad to worse) while Jerry gets more and more aggravated with him, the women buy into it each lie, and Kramer ices the cake with some light comic relief. Each character here is quintessentially what they are and later become.

It's too good for Elaine, or any female lead. When you look at sitcoms especially, from Lucy to Three's Company to Seinfeld, after 10 years or more the female characters don't hold up well. They are caricatures of their times - when the times change they look a little wrong, lacking depth and nuance. The male characters retain something though, despite the cultural "changing of the guard".
