Your interpretation is way too hurried for me and lacks the misty quality that I so admire about the piece. There are no soldiers marching in the first part. Your technical skill, though, is great.
Courtney, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have heard live in my life. And it was the very first time I heard it. That makes you, to me, one of the greatest pianists alive.
How much talent can one family have? The McLean sisters have it all wrapped it up. You all send chill bumps up my arms. BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing with me. Bobbie
You're an incredibly talented pianist and a wonderful musician! The Janacek displays an ideal synthesis of lyricism, alluring tone, and thoughtful interpretation punctuated by more passionate outbursts that come across as a continuous whole rather than being a series of unrelated episodes. An altogether beautiful performance: I only wish I could have given more than 5 stars! L
It was too fast... didn't feel the mist :-(

really good. however, i personally prefer the piece played slower, sounds more like mist that way

This music is just perfect but I think certain sections should be more semplice; ie
opening of both. The 3rd piece is a simple folksong which is developed later. After all
plenty of rubato is written into the score
and overdistortion robs it of sincerity.

Not bad. But oh man, if your hear Andsnes playing this piece... you simply become inarticulate.

gabledvoid, you are inarticulate already. Your comment is irrelevant to this performance

I am Czech. I thought no one but Czech can understand Janacek. You have shown I was wrong. Your performance is just great!!!

Gee! I'm Czech. Now I could see even the non-Czechs can get into the soul of Janacek. Courtney, it's been a wonderful piece of work. I love you!!!
