This boss became available January 5, this video was uploaded January 7, 2 days after the boss became unlocked. We were still practicing and didn't fully know the mechanics of the fight and didn't have them nice tutorial videos.
@Galasdir The addons do nothing more then present information different.
There is really only 1 addon, the addon with the ability timers that gives extra information, that is the bossmod ability timer.
And actually you don't need any addons to tank this fight because everything is there to see without addons: Tank him in the middle, when he sprays don't stand in front of him and if the ooze the other tank is kiting turn black, wait till it starts to spray and move, move back to middle.

It's a positioning thing. Because when he sprays the melee run behind him so they dont take damage. By having the tank stand where he is spraying the melee dps do not have to run back behind the boss.
Because he doesen't have to... He seems to hold the aggro just fine without Taunting. Tbh i don't taunt all the time either, i don't find it neccassary, atleast at this boss. xD But hey, im not the worlds best tank either.
Lol 7 secs. I dont use taunt at all unless i need to taunt off ot etc or on trash if one gets away but else no need. Diminishing returns although they where nerfed in the last patch they still count.

Taunt is for grabbing aggro not for generating threat.
Taunt does nothing to increase threat if you already have aggro.

It shows the bosstimer bars and some warning messages during the encounter. You can use Big Wigs or Deadly Bossmods if you raid, they're also good.
