  • omg

  • i have 3 snakes and they are all 2 meters long and no deths so far .

  • lol i thought a man was actually eating a snake.............. my bad

  • what do you do for living?

  • I live in Oxford, actually on the same road that this happened on. Thank You very much for posting this. Whatever animal you have can be deadly. People really need to take better care of their animals.

  • boang ka

  • dude i live in central florida, am i licensed R.O.C. holder, its what we call big snakes down here now, what i heard was they idiots kept the snakes, they also had a 8 foot red tail boa, in a dog crate in the living room with a quilt ontop, and the infant was unsupervised in the livingroom aswell, and the snakes had not been fed in excess of 3 months, idiots with snakes, not the snakes fault it was just trying to survive, it didnt target the baby because its evil like they want people to think

  • i think i figured it out, the snake was hungry and the owner was retarded enough to not feed it and he left the 2 year old home alone and the snake just did what it needed to.

  • God you are so fat.

  • @Archangel0582 The guy is trying to post a video of an issue close to him, and the best you can say in response is "God you are so fat". You are a shallow, infinitesimally backward waste of the food, water, oxygen and other assorted resources it takes to sustain your dumb ass. You are such a waste of space you should refund those resources in full to people worthier than you (i.e. 99% of the worlds population) and beg forgiveness for wasting them on your sad sorry existence.

  • Michael jackson smooth crimnal intro ='D <3

  • i will let u eat my dick, fuck u

  • why is everyone mad at him?

  • this guy is fat.....

  • LOL misleading title, I thought big boy was going to eat a snake...

  • One door. All that child needed to survive. One little 1-2 inch thick door. between the snake and the girl wouldve saved her life.

  • isnt this song anne are you ok by micheal jackson

  • its smooth criminal by alien ant farm.

  • Nope.

  • its smooth criminal by MJ haha or alien ant farm

  • I like burmese pythons, but they should be bred a lot more to get tamer. some of them can be super dangerous.

  • i dont think you can breed them to be nicer...not 100% sure but i dont think it can

  • 100% true owner was an idiot

  • Nicely Stated Nick ! Great Video !

Yep, the owners of that python were nitwhits who were keeping it illegally, with just a quilt tied on top of a terrarium to contain it ! And it will be folks like that who get this hobby shut down for those of you who are trying to do things the right and safe way. Not only should the snakes owner be brought up on manslaughter charges, but the other keepers in Florida should pay the nitwhit a visit, and "thank" him in person for ruining the hobby !

    John Z

  • I know! can you believe it? what a unbelievable fool for doing that? my god!! thanks for the imput John it alwasy good to hear form you!

  • burms are not going to be around for ever they cause more trouble then any other herp

  • its very possible that you are right

  • hey u lost weight

  • actully yes i have, im loosing aLOT OF WEIGHT

  • awsome =D

  • why the hell was the 2 YEAR OLD GIRL by herself

. ps wats ur xbox live gamer tag,

  • you are a 100% right dude and most snakes are banned in nyc already all pythons all boas all kings snakes and more

  • You forgot to mention that the owner of the snake didn't have a permit to keep it. That's the law now in Florida. So he was breaking the law already by just having the snake as a pet.

  • a couple idiots are going to ruin it for everyone once again. People stop being Stupid!!!!!!

  • So many idiots, so little ammo. How can you own such an animal and not secure it? The reason I do not have a burm is that I do not have a cage that can handle one. Great Vid Nick.

  • thank you for posting this video though i fear that the individuals not properly taking care of these predators or unwilling to think of the fact that they have long lifespans and grow much larger than they are in pet stores eventually leading to escapes or release into areas with already fragile eco-systems feeling the pinch of encroachment by man, they are foreign and this should be considered before blindly releasing them into say the everglades which are at great risk right now from them.

  • nice video nick, for starters, anyone who even has a remote desire to own ANY type of creature such as a Burmese Python, needs to be shot. Many animals simply do not belong in captivity. PERIOD! Give me one good reason that someone actually needs to own one of these, other than for research purposes, maybe people want to do magic shows, but yea, that didnt work out well either did it? Humans,EVERYONE needs to learn that nature is not a toy, and these animals need to be kept in the wild.

    Jake

  • That's just sick. If you have a snake of that size you NEED to keep it secure. You also need to pay attention, it's 12 feet long for God's sake, how can you not see it getting out of it's cage? It could kill someone much larger than a 2 year old girl, any snake owner knows that.

  • there is absolutely NO reason to own these animals or to keep them in captivity,Nature will always win & instinct will eventually prevail,i hope that this is the turning point to allowing anyone own these types of creatures. There is no difference than caging a lion, eventually,"dangerous" animals will be dangerous, and they will do what nature has programmed them to do,they will kill whatever and whenever they choose.its not up to us or how well we take care of them, its up to the animal.

  • wow, such anger, come shot me ive got one, and he will only be taken when im shot dead you ass. if you dont like what someone else does, be mature and leave them the fuck alone instead of bein a pompous ass

  • lol, look at my comment & look at yours, looks like you are the one full of anger, curses & caps, Typical Burm owner, all ego, NO brains. Justify owning that Creature, thats all im asking. One Good Reason? You Cant give one so you have to curse me out. You are a tool.

  • one good reason huh, hes 15 feet now, 8 feet when i took him in, he lived, in a 20 gallon tank! he was wall 2 wall on all for sides and so skinny you could feel every rib, id say giving him a chance at life is a damn good reason. & i have great deal of knowledge with my animals. but theres your reason.

  • than thats Great! you're doing something to benefit the snake! Which is What I said in the first place. Why Didnt you say that in the instead of just cursing me out for agreeing with you? A baby Was killed By one of these animals, My point is there is no reason for the snakes to be brought into captivity in the first place for this very reason. Dangerous Animals that cant be domesticated should not be held in captivity by General pet owners & captivating them does not help the snake either.

  • Well 1st im very passionate about these great animals, & if i feel someones taking a shot at them im going to defend them, iv had it all with reptiles, but i love my burm beyond my boas, bps, tegus, & my bloods. i agree with not removing them from the wild which is something im against, but if they are captive bred i see no problem in owning any animal if you can properly house & care for. on top of that the baby was killed cuz the owner of the snake was an idiot who didnt house it properly.

  • okay great! Only Thing Is Captive Bred snakes come from the wild. They Originally did & people will still continue to take dangerous snakes from the wild and breed them in captivity which will end up getting into the hands of way too many irresponsible owners.

  • well if thats the case are you counting not only burms but boas, smaller species of pythons as well? a boa constrictor could have easily done the same to that girl.

  • if you are trying to compare the disposition of a common boa to that of a burmese python, thats like comparing a labrador to a doberman. Those snakes are labelled as a "Dangerous Species" same as retics anacondas & other species as well thats why they are banned in almost all states & very few states allow them with permit only. I have a DEC license and am not going to get into all the laws and why they are in place for each region & each species.

  • In NYC you are not allowed to own any type of constricting snake. Many laws are in place because of human population & the ability to house them properly. The smaller constricting snakes you speak of are not considered dangerous to Humans & the laws were initially put in place because they can be dangerous to smaller pets that humans may own. So far, as nick has said in this video RTBs have no recorded history of being a threat to Humans in particular. You can have you opinion, I have my facts.

  • so look man, im not going to be responding to this subject anymore. Gather some facts & with good reasoning show us all why we should be able to own these creatures, show some benefit to the species or better yet, show some benefit to humanity & i will be happy to discuss this further.

    peace, jake

  • this should be a reality check for us reptile owners. its sad when a 2 year old girl has died from the irresponsibility of the owner, that little girl hasn't experienced life yet. and why was this child alone? its very upsetting when theirs a chance that we could lose our hobby or our pets to people that don't understand the reptile community, but you could just have as much joy with a reptile just as much with a dog, that's my point of view.

  • I agree with the video. My husband is a hunter and we are very strick with safety and keeping all guns in the safe, away from our kids. Its stupid gun owners that make the rest of us look like bad ppl.

I don't have snakes but clearly this horrible accident could have been prevented.

Its a shame and very sad that a child had to die to get the message out.

  • this is a reality check people lets get with it

  • What was this girl doing alone?

  • Kids have their own rooms? They can't be next to their parents at all times.

  • thats not the point she was 2 man i hve a 3 yr old lil sis and if i had a burm who kill her i wouldent be able to live and it is the fathers fault for owning such a powerfull animal when there is children in the house

  • Yea sounds like she was home alone and shes 2 what the hell?

  • can you make a video about the care of leopard geckos ?

  • The parents should be sewed for child endangerment for not securing the animal that they took on the responsibilty for properly. I hate how stupid people ruin it for everyone,

  • Shame this sort of things keeps happening because of irresponsible keepers, two lives were unnecessary lost because of this carelessness.

  • a blanket over the tank to keep the snake from escaping....

    WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!

  • wouldnt that be women eating snake. i guess if a woman got eaten by a snake its her own fault. she wouldnt have gotten hurt if she was in the kitchen HAHA

but on a more serious matter

  • Dude, it was a 2 yr old girl, not cool....

  • Dude, it was a joke,

  • I'm reading that they are just going to ban pythons.....that will include ball pythons though. :( But getting rid of the hobby itself? NO WAY!

  • ...I can't believe this :( even when Im building my rtb cage Im planning on putting a pad lock on that!

  • Hey Muff i totally agree with you 100% i keep large pythons mostly retics and i also have a alligator in my home with a 7 year old boy a 1.5 year old little girl and another baby girl on the way.. my cages for my large snake are built by me and i build them that i could not evan brake out of them.. reptiles need to be kept with respect and not by some one that just want to be cool......keep herp keepin alive DONT BE STUPED

  • i cant stand it y do sertent people want big snakes if they no that they cant take care of it or hadle it or house it in the future cuz the boyfriend did not hav a lock 4 the tank n if he did the burm wouldent excape

  • um i live no where near florida but yes very sad that she died =(

  • yeah, if we cant police ourselves the hobby will be lost. There will always be people that try to regulate our lives and take our animals, even though dogs, horses and other cute and furry animals kill far more people, the snake people get it bad because they are snakes, its all fear based. They will take my animals when im put in the ground, no sooner. Regulate your own lives,NOT MINE!

  • I and I'm sure every other reptile keeper agree with your setiments, but sadly enough.. There are people who disagree and love the media and their 1st admendment. I live in florida aswell and it's all ive been hearing about.. espically from friends and family who know I own a few snakes..

Also, something else that Muff left out that was mentioned in a few of the many reports was that the snake escaped earlier that day, aswell as the guy simply "roped a blanket on top of the cage".. Some ppl.

  • yeah ive seen a few poles and sumthin like 90% of the people in Fl think snakes should be banned as pets, wow, its only cause they are snakes and people are scared of snakes.

  • HELL YEAH MAN!!! i love my reptiles, and have the same rule with them as my guns, THEY'LL TAKE EM WHEN THEY CAN PRY THEM FROM MY COLD DEAD FINGERS!

  • well my BP got out 1 time but it was like 20 inches at the time i gound her now she is like 2 1/2 ft

  • YOU SAID evrey thing rite but one thing 2 ad the snake must be prettty damn hungrey 2 kill a girl

  • 12 foot burm ,i know the person who owned the burm and the burm was EXTREMELY mistreated ,i literally live 20 minutes away from the incident ,btw he didnt stab it so it would release her he stabbed it so he would kill it ,it was apparently 3 ft away from the baby

  • Off topic...

There was a case out in Louisianna where a redtail did cause some harm to its owner. The owner was in his living room, with his snake, with his family, and his 6ft redtail pretty much put him in a sleeper hold (he allowed it to get completely around his neck). The owner then passed out and hit his head on the fireplace during the fall... The impact on the fireplace killed him and the media totally put blame on the snake.

  • no thats very very ON TOPIC! i think i said, and if i did not i meant KILLED a human..but im sure that it could..but as far as i know no record of a human death from a redtail exists

  • No sir, what you meant was very clear. I just felt like I should bring up a incident that was close to redtails (for trivial purposes). I have not even heard of a obviously fake incident regarding redtails in this context.

Thanks for putting up this video. Its nice to get word out like this.

  • Very good video

It is the owners fault 100% for him to leave the cage improperly secured and having a young child in the house that is similar size to say a very large rabbit and not thinking any thing bad is going to happen! I always put 2 books and a laptop on my snakes cage and also close the door so if it does get out, the door keeps it inside. People like this will get our hobby taken away.

    Chris

P.S What is your Xbox Live Gamertag,

my own is biced281 and I usually play halo or cod.

  • oh and btw a red tail boa killed a *drunk* women at va beach earlier this year i beleive but it was the owners fault for being irresponsible for being drunk and handling a *potentially* dangerous snake

  • what was a 2 year old doin in a house on her own anyway...

  • great vid how is mike doing lately? hope for the best

  • It's irresponsible owners like that which give us reptile keepers/enthusiasts a bad name:( Not to mention these kind of events make reptiles seem like terrible monsters, and can cause knee-jerk reactions by congress like HR669.

    Love your videos, Muff =)

  • One of my uncle's friend had a albino burmese and it escapes and it killed a 3 year old baby. They also have to kill the snake.Very simalar story.

  • dude thats said R.I.P. baby

  • thanks

  • n/p plz unblock ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why do you want to be unblock so badly

  • so i can sub you and wacth your vids when you make them :)

  • It's people like those who make me sick. All the responsible keepers end up getting lumped in with that group and its just fucked up. Great video

  • how could a freakin snake keeper at an aquarium let something like this happen arent they supposed to be trained to make sure the snake doesnt get out. Also wouldnt they have realized the snake was missing ?? it is all the keepers fault 100%

  • we are on the same page!

  • spectacular imput

  • i no those poeple give this hoby a bad name n the other DAY IN the news paper that a 9 feet burm was out outside that someone had released it n were the burm was spotted it was in statin island ny in great kills were i live

  • good imput

  • what song

  • smooth criminal by alien and farm

  • Thats real sad! People have o bwe more careful!!!

    Daniel

  • Before i even heard your opinion after the first min in this vid i know what im going to say

The snake was not designd to be in a cage in someones house as a pet. If you choose to take it into your life and the snake does something like this as bad as it is it's only doing it's job.

The snake is not the one in the wrong here and while in captivity no snake is in the wrong no matter what or who it hurts simply because they are not pets we are just lucky enough to be able to keep them.

  • always great to hear form you Craig, hope all is well in Glascow scottland. they say over 12 people have been killed in the us from pet snakes since 1980. Death is such a sad and unfortunate thing. talk to you later

  • Also I agree on what you said about the reptile community. I just own Ball pythons not a dangerous snake at all for the most part. I have 3 children 6,2, and 1. My snake room is locked and no gap under door very well enclosed room. My kids know not to even try and go in there and if they do the door is locked anyways only I have a key to the room and the Wife has a Key in a lock box as well.

  • you sound like you know what your doing!! im really glad to hear it. I myself used to have to do the samething especilly with venomous snakes

  • I am still questioning weather that snake really killed the little girl or if he was used as a alibi. Not saying it couldn't happen just seeing the size of the snakes I question it. It was not a very large Burm and it did look a bit think wasn't thick at all. and to go and seak out a girl in the house in day light hours seeing the "PREY" and knowing the snake would not be able to swallow it usually a snake will not take a meal it can not handle is all im saying

  • I agree completely,I was just talking about this subject and also about the horrible accident with the two year old with someone. It's not the snake who is to blame,it's the irresponsible owner's fault and now because of that, an innocent little girl is dead and a beautiful, misunderstood snake. These irresponsible people are going to ruin it for all us, who are responsible reptile keepers! UMJUBA!

  • very good comment and imput

  • I use my tegu lizard for educational programs. I tell people that want to get one that they are for very experianced keepers period simply because the diet, size, and breeding aggrestion makes them difficult animals to keep. He got out only a few times and after that I started testing my enclosures and going above and beyond with security just to make sure none of my animals escaped again.
