I think Nader Shah could have been Iran's George Washington. He probably would have been open to the idea of a constitutional republic, or monarchy. Based on my understanding of the history of Iran, it was not long after Nader Shah's death, that Iran began its downward spiral which lasted 200 years. I wish he could have been Iran's first President.

Some people say that Nader Shah was not Iranian and that he was Turk. Well I am both. I will say to these people that the acts of a person makes that person beening worthy calling Iranian. Nader shah considered him as an Iranian and showed it by saving Iran from its enemies( the ottoman Turcs). It sound ridiculous when pan Turkish come and say that he was turk and not Iranian yet he spend most of his life as a king by fighting agains the Turk Invaders(The ottomans).
