ZJ are sick and the 4.0L is the way to go because they are a lot stronger and the trannys are stronger with the auto tranny. I have a 97 ZJ with 2 inch spacer and 31's and it works great. Plus they ride a lot better then XJ and the TJ or YJ.

sweet jeep I have a ZJ as well great vehicle for fun or DD only been stuck once and my frame was beached in the mud a 1500 chevy couldnt budge me had to have a tractor come get me. Going to be a jeep owner for life.

I agree with superman, them ZJs have super granny gears. The one I have with selec trac the low only does like 10mph its pretty aggressive for a little jeepster. ZJ's kick ass because they are luxury yet can still play in the mud easily, and you can daily drive them and get around 20mpg.

Any Jeep is worth it.... The 4.0 ain't a bad engine either, & there's alot of performance parts available for them.... (Headers, intakes, heads, etc) So gettin' V8 torque outta your I6 isn't really that hard to do.... Although the conversion kit for a bolt in V8 swap IS pretty cheap LOL.....
