Clement, how could you say that? Sonic 4 hasn't even fully been released. Eps.1 does not mean the only episode, it means there's more to come...I know the game wasn't the best 2-D game in the world, but you should at the least wait for the full game to be out before deciding that for yourself.

This is the only Sonic Advance game I played, I loved it, I never got all the Chaos Emeralds because for some reason my Depth Perception on JUST THE BONUS GAME sucks. Anyone else have that problem?

These Special Stages were pretty tricky! I prefered the ones in Sonic Advance 3; they were challenging and maybe a little easier than the first games but a lot more fun!

As for the Special Stages in Sonic Advance 2, I've never played them cos I couldn't for the life of me unlock them! You have to collect 10 special rings and complete the level within the time limit! That was not fun or challenging, just tedious as all hell!

Honestly, I felt the melee attack was uninspired in this game. I think I would've used it more if it didn't cancel all of your momentum on use.

Also, the Tiny Chao Garden's only purpose is to augment the Chao Gardens in the GameCube versions of the Adventure titles. When used that way, it's pretty helpful for raising your Chao, but on its own, it's useless.

Chao Garden here was awesome. You could get exclusive eggs in this Chao Garden that you can't get in SA2B or SADX. Namely the jewel coloured eggs.

I found the Chao garden in this game pretty useful, well in Sonic Advance 2 but there both the same, anyway! The reason I found it useful was because during the day I had to go with my mum to work so I would bring a Chao from my Sonic Adventure 2 Chao garden with me and raise him on Sonic Advance 2. Ah, the good old days! =)

Advance was my favorite to always carry around when I was on trips. I always had 1 with me, 2 if I got tired, I never did carry 3 that much because I didn't get into it as much as I did with the other two games. I have to agree about 1 sticking to the gameplay style more and it's usually my favorite handheld Sonic game.

In Secret Base Zone, those wires that you spin around on; you can just hold up on down to ALWAYS launch yourself off of them upwards or downwards.

I point this out because you seem to actually be using TIMING, which isn't necessary.

Oh come on, Advance 1 is the most like Sonic 1, which is to say its one of the worst. Advance 2 is the best, since it fixes evry single bad thing from 1 : bumpers activate by touch, music is a whole lot better, speed is a whole lot better, stage design is better, basically we see the same progression as we had from Sonic 1 to Sonic 2.
