  • Luis Silva > Carasco

    Toronto FC > Seattle Sounders

  • hey carrasco, tackling is allowed in college. this isnt ayso anymore son.

  • What the fuck was that??? Servando gets pissed because the other player collided with him and he throws a dirty punch? Then he has the balls to go down and fake an injury??? Wow, what a little bitch. Alex Morgan, you can do better than that. Date someone who isn't a pussy.

  • I had nothing against Servando until I saw this. I have no idea what Alex Morgan sees in this guy. He shoves the guy and fakes an injury. How pathetic!

  • carrasco's a little pussy

  • and i still dont see what our us soccer princess sees in him

  • Wow Alex Morgan is dating a pussy! Punch someone and fake an injury LOL

  • Carrasco is a joke

  • I like how he just falls on the ground. If I were there I'd be like bitch, get the fuck up.

  • Mexico has great midfielders, much better and younger than 23 year old Carrasco. He should play for the US national team if he ever reaches that level. At 23 he better start consolidating himself as a top payer very soon if he wants to become a symbol of American soccer

  • Why is america's soccer sweetheart alex morgan dating this fool??

  • haha he fell over after like a little bitch. carrasco is a disgrace and a pussy

  • @davlor86 and the fact that he wants to play for mexico

  • i hate Servando Carrasco because he is dating my girl

  • Silva is a PUSSY

  • He's a bloody Sounder now!! Viva Carrasco!!!

  • Silva only got sent off after the ref consulted with the other members of his crew. Open spike tackle will always be a red card. Perhaps the punch should have been a red card too. The funny thing is that now Tetteh from UCSB will be Carrasco's teammate for Seattle Sounders FC in the MLS. That should be interesting, since Tetteh was also red carded at the end of the match.

  • Carrasco deserved a red...studs up was towards the ball.

  • cal is stupid

  • Because the player who punched Silva in the neck had to go to the hospital before he scored a goal minutes later??????? Right, rewarding people who punch others in a game is completely fair. If this were the street Carrasco would have gone to jail.

  • Coach DJ: Shoves don't put players in the hospital (even soccer players...)

  • there's no closure on this, I've started to make my protest UCSB "10" jersey I have that stands for the 2010 season, have my College Cup tickets already, the match ought to be re-played, set a precedent not for always having perfect refereeing, but for DOING THE RIGHT THING, turn the ship around and get it right in the end. Cal does not deserve the advancement, neither did the American football Patriots a few years ago and thankfully the Giants put the cheaters in their rightful place. repentCAL

  • I was at the match and I saw this as a tackle that was two footed and cleats up. It was also clear that the UCSB player got the ball. In that I didn't agree with the red card for the Gaucho player, he did allow the ref to make a decision and based on the cleats up tackle the ref decided to go red. I thought it was harsh at the time and I think it was harsh after seeing the video. I saw the Cal player as shoving the UCSB player, not punching. Yellow card both ways and the game stays 11v11.

  • There blown calls and there are biased refs. Anyone can make a mistake but this game looked more like the refs were in the tank for Cal than that they were just incompetent. The NCAA needs to say something and not pretend this is business as usual. Let me see one Cal fan look at this tape and tell me the ref did not see the play clearly and made an incomprehensible call.

  • I was at the game and this was a hard but fair tackle. Silva could have been cautioned to set the tone of the game, but Carrasco should have beed issued an ejection - mandatory red card for any player who strikes another player. The referee is standing 15 feet away watching the entire play! Carrasco did not go to the ground until after the referee arrived. The proper call should have been Cal playing a man down for the remainder of the game, not UCSB. A sad travesty as UCSB dominated play

  • berkeley has 8 nobel laureates.

  • Yellow for Silva and a Red for Carrasco.

  • @mlbfan85 other way around. somehow!

  • the cal player should have been given a card for feigning an injury as well as throwing a punch! he clearly stays standing and then walks around before dropping to the ground with his "injury" he is such a pussy. man up and play futbol, your embarrassing yourself and your team

  • @Cloudx28 Yeah right. What the Hell is UCSB known for anyway other than drunken parties, sluts, and the beach? Really nothing else.

  • @fretter31 quality physical soccer

  • @fretter31 winning national championship

  • @fretter31 more nobel prize laureates than Berkeley (5)

In2010 "Kampmeinert has served as the center official in just a couple of NCAA women's games. He's worked only the sidelines in two Division 1 men's contests. ..the match violated this portion of the NCAA's 2010 handbook:"Policies and Selection of Officials. For the Division I men's soccer championship, an official is required to work a minimum of six regular-season Division I men's soccer games in order to be eligible to work any round(s) of the championship."

  • Yep, that was really messed up.

  • Wait so you're telling me the UCSB player got sent off.... Looks like the NCAA was like hey Cal we know you probably can't win on your own, but we ranked you pretty high and it will be embarrassing for us if you lose in your first playoff round, so we'll let you buy the game, deal? Deal... Big West conference robbed here, UCSB is better than Berkeley, Big West is a stronger conference for soccer, yet only one team was selected, and then cheated.

  • Silva clearly slides in with a sweep tackle and gets all ball. The sound you hear is him hitting the ball at the same time as Carrasco. That is not a card worthy tackle and is clearly a red for retaliation. Shocking...

  • this is fucking outrageous. go gauchos! you should have won

  • THIS GAME WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO RESPECT THE GAME, THAT REF IS A MORON AND THE GAUCHOS DID NOT DESERVE THAT GIANT RIGGED DUMP LAYED ON THEM BY THAT REF IDIOT Mike Kampmeinert I HOPE HE NEVER IS ALLOWED TO COACH ANYTHING EVER AGAIN

  • Cal player throws punch and stays in game?

    How is that possible?

    Where was the NCAA?

Is there no oversight of the basic rules of soccer?

Cal should yield their tainted win and let UCSB advance

  • please post more videos from this game

  • @aabatteryacid agreed....

  • first. the tackle by silva is clean, he gets ball... and the cal guy hits silva in the face and the ref immediately pulls the red. on carrasco right? no against silva... i saw this live... it was sooo much bullshit...

terrible referee... he took the game away from sb... ucsb outplayed cal a man short... should have won the game... and then gives cal a ridiculous pk call.. he hadnt called a handball all game and there were many... and he calls that? its sad knowing a ref took a win away fromsb

  • Fuck these refs. Carrasco is an absolute DISGRACE to the game of soccer. Disgraceful that UCSB lost. Of course, the NCAA can't have the almighty "Cal" losing. Fuck that, fuck the NCAA.

  • I'm not a big fan of UCSB soccer, but this is absolutely outrageous. There is a strong case for criminal charges against the CAL player, and the referee of the game should be reviewed. If there are no actions taken then the NCAA should be ashamed. PAC 10 reffs officiating a game between their conference and another conference doesn't seem fair. Look what happened because of it. It is a tainted win for Cal...

  • I cannot believe NCAA officiating is this bad?

  • how is this possible?

  • What a flopping bitch Carrasco

  • DISTURBING! Even more disturbing, the referee then proceeded to give a RED card to UCSB's Luis Silva (player in the blue jersey), who was attacked by Servando Carrasco of UC Berkeley in the white jersey, and Servando Carrasco received a YELLOW card. This incident was 20 minutes into the game, thus, UCSB played the remainder of the game 10 vs 11. UCSB went up 1-0 at 8min to go, then the referee called a phantom handball with less than 2min and PK to tie it, then UCSB lost 2-1 in OT. OUTRAGEOUS!

  • The crazy thing about this is that the victim of the punch was given a red card! And the ref was right there!
