What about an outer ring that connects to all four outer wheels? You'd have a useful wheel with 4 planetary spokes. Now is the magnets are in repulsive mode (I can't tell), and strong, they'd not touch under axle bearing, on not too badly so.

So ... would you hook up a drive shaft to the middle gear? I'm confused what gear you would put power into?
