Just for the record of it, I actually liked some of the designs from the American cartoon. Sure, some character designs were off. But let's face it; Capcom NEVER changes their style. And it was nice to see Megaman characters with a slight update although it was only for this cartoon show and exists nowhere else. Funny how this commercial features footage from the American cartoon, with bits and peices of animation that used the official art style from the games.

this show was a major disappointment to say the least. The episode with MegaMan X was the only half way descent episode. The commercials and intro made it look real epic with the action. But its a stupid cartoon with stupid humor you see in most cartoons today. The intro was the ONLY TIME when the robot villains actually DIED

Because that particular clip was taken from the promo animation, which was based on the official art style. Bandai changed art styles after it was made. A few seconds from the intro and this commercial is all that's left.

Sort of. It's from the pilot animation. It was closer to the art style of the games, but when the art style was changed, it was discarded. The scene with the RMs running towards the camera was also from the pilot. Some of the animation also made it into the intro and first episode, but none of it showed any of the major characters except Rush.

I remmeber this commercial so well. In fact, I remember it like it was only yesterday. When I first saw it I was like "Whoa!" I couldn't believe my eyes cuz for the first time ever it seemed someone made an effort to actually make a TV series based on my favorite video game series of all time. It's a real shame that it was poorly executed though. Regardless, I still see potential in Megaman even today.

Technically, Protoman was always made by Dr. Wily. In the games he was a joint project of both doctors, just like Mega Man, Roll, and the first 6 Robot Masters. For some reason in the cartoon they decided to change his origin to only being made by Wily.
