hehehehe os portugueses sao mesmo ladroes ,em um site em portugal vendem este dectector a 80 euros este bacano vende por 13 dolares ainda ganha dinheiro ,tuga do crl
Despite bad sensitivity, I found 70 coins (new age, nothing old) in a single day, just in four hours of hunting.
But the problem is - two of three 9V batteries are exhausted in just about 4-5 hours (Duracell alkaline). And that is a big problem. Third battery (one at separate side) remain stable for long period. So, I believe that these two batteries in series are actually TX (transmitter) batteries.
It is not worth to buy a heap of batteries every day.
@kambing2901 any detecto detects gold--but these cheap ass units harbor freight sell ain't worth hitting a hog in the tail with! I used one and it was nothing!
@micmoable I got their 9 function one for 35 dollars for the gand kids and it has found more coins than my 500 dollar Gamma 6000 and its more fun to use, so I got one for myself. Sort of seat of the pants detecting. It only goes down about 3 to 5 inches, but that’s were most of the coins are.
@frankl1955 hey, you may be right? I only said this caus the one someone gave me wasn't too hot on the wet sand at beach--never used it on regular ground---maybe it would find some goodies up to a fewinchs deep---heck, most of th older coins I've found weren't over five inches--and some of them are before mid 1840's---maybe I might look into this--a friend of a friend had given me one without back end armrest---maybe a new one from HF would do okay--ha!
@micmoable Get the 9 function one with the armrest, once I got used to recognizing the sound of different objects, I found it a lot more fun than watching my Gamma’s LCD screen jump around trying to figure out what it was . It’s pin point function has been right on . As far wet sand, I understand that one, I was very disappointed with my Pistol Probe ($170.00), it was almost useless in wet sand on a fresh water lake.

I have the same VLF detector. It can detect 1 Euro coin at 5 cm. My grass in backyard is higher than that. :-)
Ok, bigger metals can detect up to some 50-60 cm.
