  • I have no particular love for the idealized 'worker' as he appears in the bourgeois Communist's mind, but when I see an actual flesh-and-blood worker in conflict with his natural enemy, the policeman, I do not have to ask myself which side I am on. -George Orwell

  • The police are armed and retarded they all are overpayed under worked and most of them are fat so fat that they cannot do their jobs so all they got to resort to is brutality or to shoot you becase after 1 minute of work they are exhausted as hell they will shoot you and put that back up gun in your hand. It is obvious that the police are the enemy of the people they are all armed and retarded and overplay they will do any thing to keep thir job even kill you police armed and retarded

  • Just like the old saying goes:

"It's all fun and games until the cops show up and kick your ass for blocking the freeway."

  • Why were the police hitting people without cause or provocation? Police say that the suspect dictates the level of force used against them, but why then are they using force that is unreasonable?

  • lol, Oakland PD won't respond anymore if your house gets broken into but rest assured, they'll beat the fuck out of unarmed, peaceful protesters any chance they get.

    Fuck you all brainwashed zombies.

  • *whizzing

  • "We have decided not to die"

That's why were gonna stand in the middle of a freaking freeway where 2-ton cars are quizzing by at 40-50 MPH!

...bunch of dumbasses. Forget New Jersey, you PEOPLE are the armpit of America!

  • policemen just doing their jobs - turning themselfs into animals and psychos.

  • Quit spreading propaganda. The police in other videos clearly came onto the freeway demanding everyone get off immediately. Plus that is why stupid kids should stay off the freeway. They endanger others lives so the police must come.....and that is his fault whether he jumped or was pushed. He was being stupid.

  • What kind of fucking idiots protest on a fucking freeway where people are going over 55? Thats a good way to die.

  • nice police work. Got those idiots off the freeway pretty quick.

  • Good. You trespassed and you got what you deserved.

  • you surendered too wuick put up a fight at least

  • I completely understand the frustration surrounding cuts to education and I get that extreme measures can be useful in making a point. Sometimes. Props to those who were TRULY out to better the situation. Sadly, we all know valid protests are often mired by troublemakers masquerading as "activists" who will use any excuse to demonstrate their disdain for law enforcement. Whether that disdain is warranted or not (a whole other story in The Bay), this was simply not the place for that. FAIL.

  • This video made me happy. I like seeing the police doing their jobs effectively.

  • Ugh, I hate you.

  • Laugh while you can.

  • kill the wives and kids of these cops. an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

  • My prayers go out to all that were hurt.. Looks like we the people have NO RIGHTS...GOD HELP US ALL......

  • Stupid kids.... Why you gotta fuck up someone elses day?

  • Solidarity from Greece.

    Keep fighting!

  • hahah, lol. Hippies MUST be punished!

  • americans like stonej are stpuid as hell and support their one eenslavement hahahaha

what you have money and a big house stone?

youre still a f*cking slave for bankers and their puppet politicans!!

they need morons like you who fight against their own people and support their masters.

be proud of being a slave and stfu!

    FIGHT POLICE STATES AND OPPRESSION!!

  • Okay buddy you need to take a break hit the books and stop listening to alex jones every day.

I dont have a big house and I dont have lots of money but I understand the free market and how it works. If I work hard I will be rewarded. If i live within my means I will always be cumfy.

I am completely happy and debt free so to say I am a slave to banks doesnt make sense.

  • a bunch of dumb stupid Marxist liberal socialist hippies!! I wonder why none of the cars ran them over on the freeway!!

  • selfish marxist faggots

  • I think that it's wrong for the police to bring guns into this type of disorder as it only incites the opposing side to do the same. Nobody wants to show up to a gun fight with a knife, let alone their fists.

  • I needed a laught. re-read your comment and ask yourself if that would really work.

LOL police shouldnt bring guns. thats classic. Maybe if they just ask nicely they would not need any weapons. The protesters would just leave right? RETARD

  • Your argument is riddled with logical fallacies, however I'll debunk it anyway. Perhaps I should have said police shouldn't "use" guns in that situation as the officer holding a shotgun 3 feet from the protester's face is doing. I never said police shouldn't bring "weapons", I said they shouldn't escalate it to risking the lives of dozens of people who's lives are more valuable than that dipshit simpleton cops life.

  • LOL again you make me laugh. Do you know what a logical fallacy is? Or did you just copy and paste that? I only say one thing so I dont know how my comment is riddled with logical fallacy's. Then you go on to correct what you were saying so obviously you were mistaken and maybe should proof read your statements.

  • If you bring a gun to that type of altercation, what would the opposing side bring if they wished to continue resisting you? hmmmm, maybe a FUCKING GUN. Setting the argument aside, My guess is that you're a thug cop who loves oppressing people. You've been brainwashed to believe that you're superior to everyone around you. Which is sad. You should look up the Night of the Long Knives to see how your overlords will return the favor.

  • U make a lot of assumptions out of nothing but that is okay. I am not a cop but just a citizen

I also am smart enough to realize they loaded those guns with rubber bullets most likely. And if not they did not "use" those weapons it is only as a deterrent to anyone who may of brought a gun to the riot.

I dont feel I am superior. All life is equal including police officers. You however feel supperior to people obviously from your statement.

look up logical fallacy too when u have time.

  • Do you know what an Ad hominem argument is? It's precisely what you did in your first statement. I did it to you because you did it to me first. So yea I do know what a logical fallacy is :(. Do you know what an epic fail is? You.

  • Clearly you have no idea what your talking about. Explain to me how I am using an Ad hominem?

So throughout all your comments the issue is still the same should cops bring guns to a riot. My answer is still yes. If a police officer does not have a gun the "bad guys" would then have the advantage. In order to keep the peace the police have to have guns.

Also they are not using real bullets so a bean bag gun is not really escalating the situation. We have to have order.

  • this is nothing new. I remember Kent state. Peaceful demonstration by students, no weapons, a girl placed a yellow flower in one of the NGs guns. Few minutes later some of the NG's opened fire. None of us had weapons, was even friendly.

Us "bad guys" back then and today are the only ones with the balls to stand up for the really important things in this nation. Not big homes, fancy cars, toys; but education, peace, livable wages. Rubber bullets arent nerf balls they can and have killed people

  • Kent state was a very sad part of our history for sure. I dont know that you can compare it to this though. It was a different time and I dont see live rounds being fired into crowds any more. Thank god though we have the right to gun ownership. Imagine living in a country where only the gov't has guns. Scary thought. A riot for peace just doesnt make sense. abruptly stopping traffic could of cost peoples lives too. One accident and they killed as many as kent state massacre.

  • yes the times were different. today is worse. too many people with nationalist attitudes, apathetic, and/pr just plain don't give a damn about what happens to others as long as their lives are comfortable. In all my years as activist all across US never attended protest or rally where we carried guns. riot ? something we do in my area often. guess Austin police and people just nicer. Drivers honk and wave peace signs in support. 234 yrs ago we would be patriots, today we are liberal radicals

  • You on the side of the road holding signs is awesome and I will honk or wave. Even causing problems for elected officials I am 100% in support. Chain yourself to the capital doors!! great!!! You in the middle of the road wearing a mask disrupting my life and my opportunity to make a living and live in peace is another story.

Riot? I am refferring to throwing bottles, breaking business windows, starting fires. not peaceful protest.

  • being older now I am more of an organizer and stay closer to home Tx and La for protest. at least 3 times a year in Austin we march 2 miles from capital to city hall in middle of busy city street. organizers get permits and police block streets for us. never problem with police nor people sitting in cars on side streets. And is a riot what happened at this one? or did a group get out in street and disrupt traffic without permits? again, makes me suspicious of some of protesters motives.

  • This could be considered a riot to me. Riot definition is - an unruly mob. Fits here to me. although its kinda stretching the definition. the masks definately dont help them seem non voilent.

Do you think the kent state massacre could be prevented had the students done sit ins and other non voilent protests...rather than burning buildings and throwing rocks?

  • there is so much about those days and protest that unless you were there it is just to difficult to explain. much of what came out (esp from release of Hoover files) about the covert infiltration of anti war, civil rights, AIM movements proved that much of what was on news and much of the violent acts were not from members of any of the movements. Even the truth about the footage of solider getting spit on and called 'baby killer' in air port was found to be fbi created.

  • hard for people to understand the times. The facts that came out from the Hoover files about covert actions to discredit what many of us were doing, to make us look like criminals instead of people who really cared about what was going on with our government. how the soldier spit on and called 'baby killer' getting off plane from Vietnam was proved a fbi staged action. were we perfect, no. were we violent haters maybe a few. but most in the antiwar, civil rights, AIM etc movements non violent

  • repeating the fact the 'rubber' bullets are solid as rocks shot from high velocity weapons. you are deluding yourself if you believe they are only deterrents. I have seen people shot with them: broken bones, ruptured spleens, brain damage; some leading to death.

and just how many of those arrested had any type of weapons? NONE. I have been an activist for over 35 yrs and have yet to be at a protest where we were beaten, shot at, arrested because of weapons or violent confrontation.

  • Rubber bullets are not ideal I agree but untill we have star trek phazers we still need to have order. Activists are fine if they do it in the right way .....going around destroying hard working americans property is not the way to go. Rubber bullets are not to be used in my opinion unless police are attacked with "weapons" i.e. rocks, bottles, chairs. Only after other means have been used also....i.e. tear gas.....flashbangs.....whatever non lethal things we have.

  • we do agree on this. but when i hear of marches/protest getting out of control I am always suspicious. in earlier days it was known that plants would be among us, they would provoke police disappear and we suffered the attacks. I know of one instance a couple of yrs ago same thing happened. small isolated group through bottles on ground disappeared and out came the rubber bullets and batons. picture captured of the group caused a couple to be recognized as cops, naive youngsters join in at time

  • When I have been protesting voilence would not be even a option. My protests have been kneeling and clearly non-voilent. Anyone in the group who threw bottles or anything would be quickly singled out.

Having a mob of people may not be benificial if a policeman can infiltrate it. The people being voilent need to be singled out immediatly. IF they are not then they make the whole cause look bad. Nobody feels compasion for violent protests. still think sit ins are the way to go.

  • that is their whole point by infiltrating make protesters look bad and give excuse for violence. and what kind of impact or statement would it make to have a hand full of protesters? by the time trouble makers noticed its too late. any large event, even non political has high potential for violent people to ruin things. a few yrs ago Dallas had a parade for Dallas cowboys, with lots of fights and violence never had one since. so basically the violent idiots win and good guys lose not right either

  • Thats why I think if people are sitting down not marching no matter how many people there would be its pretty tough to get voilent when your ass is on the ground. (or stomach on the ground) Anyone who started trouble would stick out. yes this doesnt work for every situation but if things get heated showing your non violent does a lot of good.

  • Actually, most cops in Europe don't carry guns, even during riots.

  • sooooooo, whats the problem??

  • Hahaa! Let the hippies suffer!

  • same in germany when you go to protest, this makes me very angry and i wouldnt cry one tear if someone would kill one of those faschist police criminals

  • solidaric greetz from germany aka POLICE STATE EUROPEAN UNION "member"

it is nice that finally you americans get up and fight this dictatorship bullshit!!

but as one can see you definitly need some more practise. but that will bring the time :)

i hope you go on guys!!

  • UC President a few months ago issued this statement: "The State has stopped building freeways to higher education, and it has started building toll roads"

  • LoL at 2:58 - that's how the job's done...

resisiting arrest = worst idea ever

  • LoL ok slave, lover of tyranny and oppression. Bending over for despotism is surly the fastest way to hell.

  • Ok dude I don't know what the fuck are you talking about. I didn't say that it was a cool thing what happend. I said resisting to arrest is probably the worst idea in that situation. But ok if you call me a slave then let me call you a hippie :)

  • @786baqi The group was moving onto an offramp a stones throw away. The cops are the ones who prolonged the backup and drama by hours not to mention were the only ones who indulged in violence and brutal fantasy that day. BUT EVEN better is your side by side invocation of "think peace, humility, courtesy, patience" immediately after insulting total strangers, having "hijacked and simianic minds"!! ("simianic"~ not a word btw, .. monkeylike? - it's "simian")

  • @grouchosuave7 question, in hindsight how smart does walking through a busy freeway at 4pm, with banners, megaphones, flares and shouts sound. one does not start fires then complain that the wind was at fault for spreading it or that there asses got burned. the ball was in the law enforcers court to end the situation on-the-fly and they did a damn good job. btw language is a living thing and i can modify and word i wish. were they strangers or blatant idiots. description differs from insult.

  • @ Caffeine Sunshine.

Yeah difficult to unarrest when on an overpass. Youtube ain't great for a discussion because some posters always seem to be peaking on their testosterone supplements just when they are commenting, but I don't see legal observers documenting incidences of police breaking the law. This is an out of control reaction by the cops to what is actually occuring. Some traffic was inconvenienced for a bit of time. Probably less time than during a traffic collision. Get over it.

  • lol stupid emo kids got pwnd

  • Please talk to my truncheon! LOL

  • Reminds me of Orwells ANIMAL FARM ->

THE POLICE PIGS RUN THE SHOW!

    KILL THE FEDEREAL PERVERSE SYSTEM!

The root of all evil since 1913.

  • Malcolm X: "Early in life I had learned that if you want something, you had better make some noise."

  • People. Learn and practice how to 'unarrest' one another. There are any number of opportunities in this video when it could have been done.

  • @tibermoon2

That is an important and useful skill... what sucked about this is that people were up on a freeway with just us and the cops, and when they arrested us they had us up against a wall and stood in a line between us and the only way to get off that i know of... which is the issue with occupying a freeway, if you ask me.

  • Henry David Thoreau: Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves.

Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Every actual state is corrupt. Good men must not obey laws too well."

Malcolm X: "Early in life I had learned that if you want something, you had better make some noise."

  • I am such a dirty girl - I want to put the vid i made last night on the internet!~

  • Those cops should have pulled their guns on those liberal pussies.

  • I love how people support protests but only if they agree with the cause and it doesn't inconveince them. So traffic was backed up for an hour, big deal. It could have just as easily been an accident. We all act like the right to assemble is this fundamental American right but only if they stay nice and behaved and don't bother anyone. A protest should be down and dirty, a protest should be loud and get in your face otherwise you might as have just stayed home.

  • Because your a stupid kid and dont know any better I am not suprised you feel this way. What you do not realize is that anyone on that freeway who supported you before no longer supports you. Your stupid idea ruined their day.

saying a protest should be down and dirty just shows how little intelligence you have.

Blocking traffic is just selfish. Just like your selfishness when it comes to tuition. Someone else should pay for your college right?

  • Let me guess... you're not a student and haven't been one for several years, right? Although I agree with you about the freeway, I think it's a waste of time and certainly wouldn't get many people on our side. But if you think protests are selfish unless they're calm and quiet and are dictated by law enforcement, you're a fool. And it's not just about tuition, genius, would you not be mad if your boss gave himself a raise then cut your hours and fired your coworkers?

  • Yes it has been several years. I went to school around 9/11 also when I started we had 100% job placement. When I graduated I had 30% job placement. Did i cry and go block traffic. NOPE!

Never said a protest had to be calm and quiet. But maybe a sit in at the school that required the school to bother with you would of been better. Non voilent organized and peaceful. The video shows a borderline riot and I dont blame the police for their aggression when it seems to be a riot brewing.

  • Exactly. No one who isn't attending or working at a school could possibly know the scope of the cuts so don't act for a minute like you understand the situation. There were sit ins at Berkeley...and UCD...and SF State. They ended the exact same way as the freeway and there was a bunch whiny bitches complaining about the protesters the exact same way too. Deja vu. This was NOT a riot or even close and funnily enough the protesters were on their way OFF the freeway when they got arrested.

  • @IrishDroog Your a moron child in college who thinks he understands the world. Notice how the only older "hippies" involved in shit like this are still on drugs. Cus you have to be young or high to think this shit is ok.

  • I wouldnt be mad if my boss cut hours and layed off workers. Ofcourse I understand how the market works. If they cant afford it then they probably need to do lay offs. IF the boss was valuable and was needed he probably deserves a raise. IF he was not valuable they would get rid of him. Pretty simple

Money does not grow on trees son and the sooner you learn that and remove yourself from your mothers tit the better.

  • Well, that is just retarded. So if your boss fired you because of company money problems then gave himself a raise that wouldn't bother you? Yeah, right. That was the dumbest analysis of business economics I've ever seen.

  • Why is it dumb though? Its not dumb just cause you call it dumb. Son, you will learn to use that head of your someday with ideas and thoughts of your own.

My analysis of bus. economics wasnt an analysis just basic common sense.

Nothing bothers me because I worked hard my whole life to be a valuable employee. If I ever disagree enough with my company I can leave and find another job.

You are non-productive so you are in need of someone to help you. Learn to take care of urself.

  • lol, so much faith in the establishment! Actually, sir, it was quite dumb. You automatically assume that any decision made by the higher ups is in the best interest of the company when the reality is your boss fired you so he could give himself a raise. And that's really not that much different than what's going on in California with the education system.

  • If you look up the Seattle WTO protests, you would see how wrong that statement would be if you thought it was an objective way of looking at protests.

  • This's so not right. I hope someone is suing and charges against the police. I also hope that people are being released and records erased because of police action. I attended a protest on March fourth as well and and the police behaved in a violent way as well, even though we were peaceful.

  • grow up. if you don't obey obvious laws. don't obey the direction of reasonable law enforcers. be a man and take the next ante-upped step, which are clubs, sprays, and tasers. wtf do you think will happen. protest at your own risk. police don't have time to pick you like rose petals. i'm sure you disregard vanities at emergencies as well. if you f'up anyone else's day the police will be called to f'up yours. guess who wins. if you don't like it play a game without any losers.

  • How so? You think that causing 2 hours of gridlock by walking on a freeway is legal and peaceful? There's a difference between making people aware and having them side with you and making people aware and having them hate you. Protesting like this won't get you anywhere but the wrong end of a baton. I can't comment on what occurred at your protest, but this is not how you go about exercising your right to free speech.

  • 1 - "Nobody got hurt." Not everything illegal or dangerous (or disrespectful) involves people being hurt. These protesters refused to walk away quietly, instead choosing to (again) walk down an interstate highway. I don't understand where your values are if you think that's an okay thing to do.

2 - Comparisons to other movements are flawed. This has nothing to do with civil rights, the American Revolution, etc. etc. Basically the same thing? Give me a break. You just want to feel important.

  • You want to explain how they aren't the same thing? Or just say it without critical analysis?

  • You're really going to continue to compare this movement with movements of that size? You must be kidding me... Your cause has nothing to do with theirs. For every 'successful' series of protests, there are dozens that don't result in anything and are overly aggressive. You cherry picking some of the more important resistances in the history of the nation doesn't mean a damned thing.

  • You're missing the point. Let's not forget that not everyone was on the side of American resistance. And if you were a normal and perhaps "comfortable" citizen who saw a pocket of resistance here or there in a specific event, do you think you would have sided with the protesting Americans about this particular tax or that one (it wasn't just one cause. It was small causes that led up to one big cause which is very common) or with the British and siding American forces to maintain the order?

  • All the cop-defenders would have been against the American Revolution too because its basically the same thing! They would have been praising the British for keeping those Americans in line for "disrupting the system". These events and the ones who "hate the hippies who do them" really show what kind of slave-lovers are out there. Forever live the Resistance.

  • the cops were serving the -civilians- headed home. you still have childish fears of the peace officers. ironically you depend on them to have your family get home safely. the rest of what you write is your highly valued stash of pessimistic paranoia. be proniod instead. this is 2010 not 1969. breaking the flow of traffic ''attracts'' broken bones. you attract/manifest your fears. i do and can depend on the police, can't say the same for protesters who disregard 40 yrs. of psychological insights.

  • If I was driving home like everyone else and found out what it was about, I would have gotten out and joined them because I empathize with their cause. Doesn't mean I wouldn't expect to be dealt with but they, as well as the "well-behaved" civilians who would never dare to disrupt the machinations of every day life, should expect resistance.

  • I doubt that because if you were driving somewhere you probably would have a job and know what its like to work...instead yoru some rich pussy who doesnt know anything and tries to make a huge issue out of having to pay for college.

gues what we all had to pay for college if you dont like it or think its too expensive go to another college that is cheaper. retard

  • Actually I work 10 hours a day and frankly, would have no issue missing said work. I don't put my job on some pedestal, especially considering the work I do in kowtowing to people with big pockets for gluttonous gourmet. And I paid for college. And still paying. And will continue to pay for years to come. Your excuse is ridiculous.

  • I bet you even if they were marching on their own campus, the police would have done the same. I don't know what homework you've done on police vs. protesters, but they pretty much attack all the time. Policemen simply protect system maintenance.

  • Here in Santa Cruz, the students remained on campus and ultimately walked downtown, blocking traffic - no arrests, nothing of that sort.

You severely underestimate how hard these situations are to deal with for law enforcement. It's pretty easy to sit on you computer making comments like this, but you continue to ignore the idea that they were just doing their job - keeping the peace. The protesters ignored them and became more and more aggressive, right up until the clubs came out.

  • @NYHoustonman I've done the protests and human chains and made pamphlets and documents to organize, etc so please don't assume I sit behind a computer and do all spectator work. Secondly, I never said it wasn't difficult for law. But who are the cops keeping the peace for? And personally I would have been in the streets instead of the freeway, but that's just me.

  • As one of those arrested on the fwy, let me explain exactly what happened, because you seem to have some misconceptions. 1.) as we entered the fwy, i heard no orders to disperse or stop. 2.) we showed NO physical aggression towards the cops or anybody else. 3.) before the cops began hitting/arresting people, they issued no orders to disperse, leave the fwy, etc. I question that they were 'just doing their jobs' when they overlooked all possible measures to actually keep the incident peaceful.

  • @CaffeineSunshine

    Nice start of protesting!

But it seems as you, as protestors, and the police are new to this :))

In Berlin for example the police that goes to demos is REAL riot police with helmets, bats, cameras, waterthrowers, helicopters, cs-gas and pepperspray and a f*cking complete armour.

That is the reason why we protestors just get arrested when they beat us down and befor that they can eat stones and bottles and anything else we got!

    fight police states and oppressioN!

  • @NinoK2701

Just the youngsters new to this. we had it down 35+ yrs ago. and many of us oldsters are still at it and trying to teach the youngsters.back then cops much the same as Berlin's. not many helicopters. but batons, fire hoses, and times they didn't think twice about shooting at us. Have to admit what I have seen in Berlin is inspirational. We need some of your solidarity and bravery here. Would love to see this become world wide.

  • Gotta love this continued idea that you can hind behind whatever rights the constitution and amendments give you. They weren't assembling, they were intentionally blocking an Interstate freeway, which is ridiculously disrespectful and dangerous even if it somehow isn't 'illegal.' I'm glad the police did what they did here, as this situation had to be ended. It's easy for people to bash the actions of law enforcement in situations like this - I sure hope you guys never need their services!

  • dude this is just wrong

  • protests are not helpful. a march could be. depends on who leads it, and who follow. but in this case what if someone had a collision, or an asthma attack, heart-attack, or body functions. how could the emergency vehicle reach the person. no body has to put up with the dumb, blind, and ignorant protesting-approach to problem solving,

  • What the heck did they think would happen...hippie pricks!!

  • Each and everyone of the protesters should be charged and jailed.

  • This video would be much more satisfying if it was cops getting clubbed in the head.

Whoever is glad this happened to these protesters, take a look at protest movements in the past. They did much more than this and their point eventually got across the board.

  • the best part of this video is when the cops beat the protesters, so satisfying

who the fuck are they to impede traffic for miles back

  • These kids just discovered Max Waber and his theories." Max Weber said in Politics as a Vocation that a necessary condition for an entity to be a state is that it retains such a monopoly. His definition was that something is "a 'state' if and insofar as its administrative staff successfully upholds a claim on the monopoly of the legitimate use of violence in the enforcement of its order."

  • seriously you should stand up, i will say the protest shouldnt have been done on the highway perhaps on their campus or at a public place but they have every fucking right to say what they want this is America "I may not like what you have to say but i will fight to the death to defend your right to say it" FUCK THIS TERRORIST GROUP CALLED LAW ENFORCEMENT!

  • There is nothing wrong from protesting ... We all have rights to express our feelings but from what oakland police did was all wrong. They can arrest them from protesting in the freeway without harming them.

  • @alsparedes hopefully we'll see some excessive force charges brought against the police. I would think this would be intolerable for Californians.

  • in greece they beat the fuck out of two of the cops. soon cops will stop protecting the rich and start realizing they are the poor

  • i see the sheep are out in full force condemning civil disobedience

  • THEY ALL DESERVED EVERYTHING THQAT HAPPENDE TO THEM

anyone who dissagress is an idiot

  • typical morons endangering the lives of others. they're bitching about fees going up for education that they don't have to pursue... and decided it would be cool to ditch class morons what will they do next buy gas complain about the price and just set it on fire???

  • Douches. They deserved a beating and I hope they don't sue. Fricking kids think they're so awesome for having an opinion. Woohoo no one cares. Stop acting like you're fighting against the corporate machine and get off the street.

  • Those dickfaces deserved it. What the hell is stopping everyone on the highway going to do for their stupid cause? Why don't they write some letters to Congress, or have a little meeting in their secret treehouse or something? Those policemen were doing their job and there's nothing wrong with that.

  • They got what they deserved

  • Wow, great video footage of the protest. Outstanding...

  • pwnd they deserve it, dur lets go block off a highway and protest.... um yeah thats smart

  • Good.

Get the fuck outta the highway. Your freedom to be an annoyance is no greater than the freedom to life of the the guy in the back of an ambulance bleeding out because of your shit.

  • Um... I hate to tell you but wearing bandanas over your face makes it very hard to understand what you're saying. I heard the "stop the" What now? (at 0:47)

  • Is that a poor little midget at 2:01 ?

  • Police and EMS don't get stuck in traffic? I used to me a paramedic for FDNY... I beg to differ. Heavy traffic ALWAYS delays response time.

Ironic that people say we need some sort of order, but then promote anarchy. Kinda like the people that call cops ticket writing pigs, but still call 911 when they need help.

  • fucking cops

  • thats hard to watch man. the police get a hard on for just beating people. they straight wilded out for no reason.

that shit gets me so angry.

  • I wish I were a cop at that protest. I would be cracking leftist skulls left and right. Better yet, I wish I were in a large vehicle so I could mow this protesting scum down.

  • Did video games deplete your mind?

  • Well, just so you know, you are helping the leftists by watching this video... you know that youtube pays for videos that get this many views, this fast... all you people who dont support the protesters, are actually Funding the Protesters by watching this video, and commenting... Thank You all for helping in the effort towards Future Protests!

  • Completely False.

    Daily Californian

    Watch that video...

Camera man complies, police dont care.

So he ran, because the cops made him fear for his safety... Freedomn of the Press!!!

He was not protesting, he was documenting, like all those other corporate fucks that were also, on the freeway... You watch the news, you buy the papers, you put money in the pockets of people who were also on the freeway, blocking traffic along with protesters.

  • do you believe that freedom of the press should apply to all people and not just actual news people with valid press credentials? do you believe that a person should be able to engage in whatever potentially dangerous activity he or she wishes to based only on his or her perception of fear for his or her safety? to include activity that endangers other people? for example walking around on the freeway?

  • anyone who brings a kid to play in traffic on 880 should loose custody for child endangerment. same for people who put kids between themselves and riot police.

  • everyone brought themselves... no one was forced to go on the freeway, it was the will of each individual to go on the freeway... regardless the age.

  • is it your belief that the exercise of free will should not be restricted by law and that people of any age should be allowed to act in any way they choose?

  • I wonder how long it took emergency crews to reach the injured kid, due to stopped traffic? Poetic justic if you ask me.

How would you feel if your mother collapsed of a heart attack, but ambulances were stuck in traffic? What if you were being robbed, your sister raped, but police were stuck in miles of traffic?

This was an incredibly selfish display of ignorance.

  • not long at all, because emergency crews didn't have to take the freeway at all.. In big cities help isnt too far away. Theres a fire station just a few blocks from there, and the hospital isnt much further either... the freeway was not in the route.

  • Jack London Square, blocks away from the incident, has a station and a Fire Academy, how bout you people go take some classes and learn how emergency services work.. and for those of you that dont know, Fire Depts Respond to more medical calls than actual fires. Every Engine has a Paramedic now days. Its hard to get into the Fire Service without at least an Medic or EMT Cert.

  • hahaha... police dont get stuck in traffic..

    where have you been?!?!?!

  • how often are the cops there to help you during the act of being raped or robbed???

The police are never there when you need them.

They're too busy writing tickets for moving violations. They got a quota to meet.

  • Look at all these spoiled fucks having a hissy fit over tuition. You think you're immune to the recession because you go to school? Think again. Blocking a freeway and 2 hours of gridlock? You're putting peoples jobs on the line in an already cutthroat situation. People are losing jobs left and right and you fucks don't give a shit. That kid deserved his head injury.

  • u ARE a damn retard no idea whats goin on in the world but talk shit like that

    pls go fuck your state

  • @Strawu

What? I know exactly what's going on. A 30% increase in tuition from an already 20% increase and now people are pissed. I got to college in Los Angeles and you don't see me being a damn baby. You want tuition to go back? OK, how about we lay off some professors and now you don't have the classes that you were paying 50% more for. I'd rather pay that than lose my chance at continuing my education. You kids need to grow the fuck up and learn that sometimes life kicks you in the ass.

  • its just dumb if u think thats an excuse for police brutality and when a state starts to attack innocent who just take use of their right of freespeech
