  • WHAT THE FUCK WERE IS BLACK ONE BY SUNN O)))

  • Jesus don't they think that's too much fuckin Beatles

  • Eminem - The eminem show

  • WHERE THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!! IS THRILLER!???

  • Urm . Marvin Gaye number 6 ?! get freaking real he should be number 1!

  • I'd take the White Album (as i think it's the Beatle's worst) out and stick Dark Side of the Moon in. Also London Calling isn't that great either. I'd switch Rubber Soul with Sgt Pepp's to make it better.

  • The Doors should of had a spot with there 1st album

  • Zeppelin iv deserves a spot. I'm all for the Beatles my favorite band but I think pet sounds should be #1 it's a fucking masterpiece and the first time I listened through it it changed my life for the better!!!!

  • I always thought that Revolver was better than Sgt. Pepper's but oh well...

And Abbey Road and Dark Side Of The Moon and Led Zeppelin IV isn't even on here?! I know they couldn't put every album in the top ten here but come on!!

  • 55 people didn't get high with their friends.

  • Jewish Rolling Stone magazine promotes Jewish "artists"

  • I think Rolling Stone is a really overrated magazine.

  • This list isn't really bullshit. These are all EXCELLENT albums. I'm surprised that with the amount of influential bands and albums out there that they could narrow it down to 50, let alone 10. And The Beatles definitely deserve to have 4 up there, especially Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, which is one of my favorite albums. I'm surprised that they had the guts to put Pet Sounds as #2 but I completely agree. The video has great song choice too!

  • Rolling Stone is fu*king right! BEATLES DESERVE 4 ALBUMS IN TOP 10! BEST BAND EVER!

  • THE BEATLES <3

  • Dark Side Of The Moon? pronounced 'lĕh-'nérd 'skin-'nérd ? Led Zeppelin IV ? In Rock? Machine Head? Electric Lady Land? Paranoid?

    None of these eh?

  • LOL! #1 is laughable (and i like the beatles very much)!

no Pink Floyd??! FUCK! the list is bullshit!!! :O

  • Does anyone else find it ironic that The Beatles got almost half of this list and the magazine is named after The Anti-Beatles? (i.e. Rolling Stones if you didn't know...)

  • @TheSecondR They weren't anti-beatles...The two bands were really close. You can see them in the studio and hanging out together all the time.

  • @itsbridgetlogann

When I said Anti-Beatles i was talking about mainly what their songs talk about you know, the Beatles are more gentle in their lyrics and the rolling stones are more like... a "bad boy" sort of attitude..

  • @TheSecondR Ahh, I understand what you're saying.

  • can anyone ever touch the Beatles?....it's not gonna happen

  • dark side is the best album ever and abbey road should be here not rubber soul and let it be as well

  • I knew #1 had to be Sgt. Pepper's

But no Beach Boys album compares to any Beach Boys album

  • @o0RubberSoul0o "This list was compiled in 2003" implying?

I'm sure you know Dark Side Of The Moon and OK Computer were released before this list was made I mean seriously OK Computer at 162, please.

    This list is a mess.

  • Appetite for destruction :D

  • The Beatles= REAL MUSIC! Thanks at all

  • whats the first song

  • No Dark Side Of The Moon or OK Computer, that's a fucking joke.

  • This is straight from Rolling Stone...personally i think The Beatles deserve the positions they got, they are the most influential band of all time and if there were no Beatles there would be no Zeppelin, Mettalica, AC/DC ETC...

  • The Beatles had 4 on the top 10. the greatest musicians ever

  • Well for me Pet Sounds is superior to SGt. Pepper

  • The Wall? :'(

  • If Pink Floyd isn't in the list, there's no have list, just that.

  • Lol pink Floyd is better then the beatles in my opinion cause there much deeper yet not one album =(

  • @puffleop I love Pink Floyd but to me their albums are very "moody". And let's face it, when most of the songs you write last 10 to 15 minutes you're in trouble!!

  • @puffleop And Beatles had 4 here

  • well, i think the beatles should have their own countdown, their album left out of space for other artist.. too cool for school baby!

  • The list sucks and is posted by a beatles fan. That's obvious.

  • @wim133 I read the rolling stones magazine to see if this list was actually true... and IT WAS!! so dont go thinking this was posted by a Beatles fan. you need some that it was...idiot.

  • @wim133 this list was the offical list from rolling stone maganzine not posted by some beatles fan just people with good taste in music.

  • most people are idiots

  • Rolling Stone rated a Britney Spears album with 4 out of 5 stars. That gets them to be about as much an authority on anything rock as an elderly Lithuanian nun, and this list shows that. Jan Wiener promotes anyone who pays well and has no taste for music nor a clue about anything rock.

  • AC/DC's Back In Black has sold over 45 million albums, Fleetwood Mac outsold the Beatles, they have sold the most albums ever that a band has managed to sell, Fleetwood should be on the list

  • @Dragonshouter If you consider an album to be significant because of how many copies it has sold than you are much more hopeless than this naive, nonsensical list.

  • Too many Beatles, where's AC/DC with Back In Black, where's The Dark Side Of The Moon or The Wall. This is completely wrong

  • you forgot the beatles

  • i hate rolling stones bias against pink floyd. they refuse to acknowledge them for anything theyve done, in RS top 100 artist of all time PF didnt make it, in RS top 500 songs of all time the highest PF song is comfortably numb around #350.....does this really seem right? they refuse to acknowlegde some of PF's albums as some of the best in history when they clearly are (Dsotm, the wall).

  • @briantdt I think they did a 100 greatest guitarists and they had Gilmour at something stupid like 82.

  • Maybe more Stones and some Jimi also i think led zeppelin got a few albums that would make it.

  • The beatles almost have half of the top 10 best album

    They are my favourite band

  • wtf where is THRILLER?!?!

  • @anthonyderaluh thriller is not even on the top 20. jajaja

  • Can think of 5 Metallica albums that should have made this list.

  • all classic albums but shit list They out nirvana ahead of led zeppelin. Pfft. glad to see highway 61 revisited on there.

  • "Broken Barricades" - Procol Harum (heavy on the Robin Trower) ...or "Grand Hotel" ( with no Trower....imagine that)

  • i get bored why all the people put rock or metal albums, where are pop albums

  • Strange. Other RS compilations of greatest albums have always included Van Morrison's Astral Weeks. Four Beatles albums? Exile as the Stone's greatest?

    Ridiculous list.

  • wtf? all wrong.

pink floyd dark side of the moon

    metallica the black album

these are the two albums that had the biggest effect and influence in music ever and are just clearly the best albums ever.

  • @upurs543210 Dark side - Very Much

Black album - not so much. Metallica made better albums in the 80s with Ride the Lightning and Master Puppets

  • @dynasta34 agree...

  • @dynasta34 what about ACDC back in black

  • @dynasta34 I guess your a beatles ?

  • @upurs543210 what a load of shit... fair enough with pink floyd but your saying Metallica had more of an impact on music than The Beatles which is complete shite

  • @upurs543210 the black album? LOL no.

  • @upurs543210

I agree with u those 2 albums are great but, Sgt. pepper still was the main influence for so many bands at the time.

And i agree with dynasta34, i think master of puppets or ride the lightning are better than the black album, as for Pink Floyd, their early records were most creative and interesting than Dark side of the moon...

Problems is they should put just one album for each band, there's too many beatles and bob dylans albums

By the way they should have put one Frank Zappa

  • @upurs543210 WHAT!!!?? Without The Beatles ... Floyd whould never had been and its foolish to say any album had bigger effect on people than Sgt. Pepper

  • @upurs543210 Metallica sucks................. not even close to the greatest albums of all time

  • i would have to move Highway 61 revisited up to #2 good list i don't think there is any question that Sgt pepper is #1.

  • Wow 4 albums withtin the top 10 and then i heard 5 albums within the top20. They were the people of music weren't they.

  • I just think Okay computer and Kid A should both be in the top ten but thats just me...

  • Comment removed

  • @wantsomecake328 I agree with you on your top 10. Take out number 10 and add Sticky Fingers

  • @canaryman69 I actually think Beggars Banquet and maybe even Some Girls are better than Sticky Fingers.

  • @wantsomecake328 another great album is David Bowie, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust, and Deep Purple Machine Head, Quadrofenia is my all time favorite album

  • @canaryman69 Ziggy is in my top 20, and I have Quadrophenia on my iPod but haven't gotten around to listening to it yet.

Also, my top 10 has changed a bit.

  • @wantsomecake328 have you heard Quadrofenia before? I suggest that you read the lyrics when you listen to Quadrofenia, blow your mind.

  • I believe it was Rubber Soul that inspired the Beach Boys to produce Pet Sounds. And it was Pet Sounds that inspired the Beatles to produce Sgt. Pepper. A very healthy competition. Great time for music in the 1960s.

  • sgt.peppers is deffinetly the best album of all time it changed music forever we wouldnt be who we were today musically withought it. it takes a real band to do what the beatles did

  • I dont think you guys are giving the beatles enough credit here. They are without a doubt the most influencial band of all time.Am I telling you to grow out your hair,do LSD,and listen to I Am the Walrus?Hell no.Im just saying you should acknowledge the fact that these guys did so much for music and we'd have a much, much, much different musical history if it wasn't for them.

  • where the fuck is pink floyd? Or any progressive rock bands for that. The people at Rolling Stones are retarded. How is exile on main St. better than freaking DSOTM!!??

WHAT THE HELL IS ROLLING STONE MAGAZINES´?

  • Man I remember buying that book. And after reading the top 10 I called their main office and left a message that was so "american". I even called them some undercover commies. How are you going to have the three Beatles albums in the top 5.

Just come out and say it We are on the Beatles Cocks. Damn that pissed me off.

  • @joshua626 Ain't that funny that a magazine called "Rolling Stone" prefers Beatles over Stones?

Oh well, so do i :D

  • @peeniizz you're soooooo right there is too much of the best of all time it's not like they only changed music.

  • @peeniizz Nuttin wrong with Beatles or Dylan.

  • sgt peppers change the music concept!

    Peace Sells by Megadeth

    Rust in Peace by Megadeth

  • @Tacom4ster Are you, by coincidence a Megadeth fan?

  • Apparently, Rolling Stone magazine is full of a bunch of miserable honky's who listen to the same shit... Beatles, bob dylan, and of course, Rolling stone.

  • 4 Beatles?

  • everybody goes on bout pet sounds but I think it's so pants. Sgt. Peppers is so much better

Blood Sugar Sex Magik - Red Hot Chili Peppers Dirt - Alice in Chains The Eminem Show - Eminem Hypnotize - System of a Down Superunknown - Soundgarden In my opinion the '90s was the best decade for music though.

The Joshua Tree - U2 6. Toys in the Attic - Aerosmith 5. Hotel California - The Eagles 4. The Wall - Pink Floyd 3. Boston - Boston 2. Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin 1. Who's Next - The Who Number eleven for me is probably Achtung Baby by U2 because I like Nevermind just a little bit better!
  • @CMD9889 I love that you put The Wall ahead of Dark Side for Pink Floyd. The Wall's my all time favorite album, yet Dark Side gets all the love from people. I still like it, but I still think The Wall was much better.

  • @CMD9889 I love that you put The Wall ahead of Dark Side for Pink Floyd. The Wall's my all time favorite album, yet Dark Side gets all the love from people. I still like it, but I still think The Wall was much better.

  • @dynasta34 ya think that was the best pink floyd album

  • @dynasta34 of course, this is all opinion :) but if we are talking pink floyd, the wall was a weak album as far as the sound of the true pink floyd. meddle, is a much better album if you want to credit collaboration. dsotm as a whole is what set pink floyd ahead and above, a true concept album. don’t get me wrong, I love the wall and it to has it’s own place, but it is over driven in message and limited emotion. compare to sound on saucerful of secrets. now that is pink floyd.

  • @H4S707 I believe the Wall is very emotional. I love the wall because it emotionally reached out to me more than any other Pink Floyd album

I understand where you're coming from though. I can see why DSOTM is seen as better. Its an album that was way ahead of its time.

  • @dynasta34 No one ever considers "Atom Heart Mother" - the suite is virtually orchestral and the album, to me, includes some of their finest compositions.

  • @H4S707 your right the wall is weak compared to what came before by pink floyd even dark side of the moon isnt a saucer full of secrets even though its the biggest seller in history rolling stone is retarded pet sounds came before sargent peper mojo magazine picked pet zounds as number 1 .[rolling stone said phil ochs was a troubador? ]

  • @spacepatrolman trust me, I love the beatles, but I think they are placed to heavily in these lists (and let's be honest, these lists mean nothing) But there are hundreds of artists, they all have their place. Certain groups, certain albums really pushed the envelope and changed it all. How can you place a number on them? Some bands were influnced by some and not by others. And I don't think rolling stones knows what a troubador is.

  • @H4S707 i still like within you and without you and a day in the life was probably the first extra long experimental song

  • @spacepatrolman day in the life is (in my opinion) one of their more forward thinking experiments, and how wonderful that turned out! I woulnd't call 5 minutes extra long, but for a beatles song, yeah, maybe.

  • @CMD9889 not very versatile

  • @CPRCRRSC I've changed my list from when I made that comment 2 months ago. Now, I would add on The Doors, Help!, Superunknown, and others. I still don't completely get what you mean by "Not very versatile."

  • @CMD9889 The Beatles are the best band of all time nothing can surpass their talent

  • @GeorgeHarrison00 Yeah. I would actually agree with you. I made that comment 5 months ago, when I was a youngin. I have changed my mind, and now I say The Beatles ARE the best band ever. But I might change my mind again. Maybe sometime soon. You never know...

  • @CMD9889 nevermind shood be number 1 it brought grunge to the masses everything else yo0u mentioned sucked balls

  • @yomama69ist It's called "opinion" dude. Look it up in the dictionary, you might learn a thing or two,

  • clearly the complete wrong list. this is the correct list. 1.Led Zeppelin 4 2.Led zeppelin physical graphiti 3.Led zeppelin 3 4.Led Zeppelin 2 5.Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy 6.Led Zeppelin 1 7.Led Zeppelin Presence 8.Led Zeppelin In through the out door 9.Led Zeppelin Coda 10.mmmmmmmmmmmmm........ irrelevant
  • @Stratocaster21st1994 Haha except for one problem. Rolling Stone absolutely hated Led Zeppelin. In fact, Cameron Crowe was the only writer for Rolling Stone during that era that said anything positive about them.

  • @dynasta34 Thats sad. Hating Led Zeppelin WOW Thats Probably Why They put Jimmy Page 9TH on Rolling Stone top 100 Guitarists of all time and by that list they probably LOVE The Beatles xD

  • @Stratocaster21st1994 10. Mothership or a live album (duh?)

  • wow.... I love the beatles and all but theres no way this is best albums of all time...

Pink floyd- Dark side of the moon

    Greenday- Dookie

Metallica- Ride the lightning, Master of puppets, or ...And justice for all

    Nirvana-Nevermind

  • @Swiftydrummer29 sure nirvana are the best band in the world ever, HOWEVER thats only cause i love every single nirvana song ever not because theyre singular albums were top 10 worthy. Pink floyd hahahha u must be kidding they are the worste band in the world ever. And dookie didnt have good enough lyrics at the end of the day nimrod was probably a better album and american idiot was certainly better. jesus of suburbia, the best song in like the last 10 years

  • @thelibertines91 wow... Nevermind is def. one of the best... It has over half the album as singles... and PINK FLOYD IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS EVER! and Dookie was like what GOT GREENDAY STARTED

There were so many singles from Dookie!

  • @Swiftydrummer29 why you going on so much about singles, exile on main st only had 2 singles on a 18 song cd and its the best album ive ever heard. ive own every album u mentioned

  • Where's Dark Side of the Moon?

  • ahahahahahahahaha

    pet sounds....wtf

  • @scillac whats your problem you stupid fuck, have an open mind. How about u go listen to it then say it doesnt brighten ur day to listen to. There is no better band for the summer and u can suck my sandals

  • ahahahahahahaha

    pet sounds....wtf

  • where was Abbey road in all this?

  • @turfterror Abbey Road was 14th

  • @turfterror you cant put that many beatles albums in the top 10 best albums ever it wouldn't be appropriate.

  • Wow,rolling stone loves Beatles

  • this list is perfect

  • wheres Thriller

  • blah...thought i hit cancel the first time...

  • how the hell did the beach boys beat ANY Beatles album...?

  • not right at all.

  • what's the song that's playing on "Exile On Main Street?"

  • @HufflepuffTheGreat Tumbling Dice

  • Apparently, rolling stone is fucking retarded.

  • @monstercrabee agreed

  • Beatles = GBE (Greatest Band Evar!!!)

  • about a week ago i was looking at the publishing stuff at the back of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. it says at the end of all the publishing stuff "a splendid time is guarunteed for all" i smiled and thought dam straight it does

  • :( no nine inch nails closer..... sgt pepper cover has anti christ in the top let corner. bald guy named crowley

  • ok where the hell is back in black

  • hey this video should be called 60s best albums of all times

  • the rolling stones are the greatest of all
