  • Despite being totally outnumbered and outgunned, the Confederate Navy, Submarine Battery Service, Torpedo Bureau, and coastal defenses inflicted more hurt on the Union Navy and shipping industry than any other military force until the Japanese and Germans teamed up in World War Two. New England shipping never recovered from Confederate raider operations and hundreds of other ships were lost by the North during the war. Surprisingly, ironclads weren't responsible for very many of those losses.

  • Really excellent visuals to a really excellent song!

  • @malinmoate Thanks for your kind comment. I'm thrilled by how many viewers seem to enjoy my homage to both the influential Battle of Hampton Roads, and the great music of Hardtack & Harmony. I'm thinking that an illustrated version of Hardtack & Harmony's "49th New York" may be next! Thanks again.

  • Very Good. Is this Leigh Robinson Oliver Claffey and Andy Desjardins?

  • @delquante Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is Leigh Robinson, Oliver Claffey, and Andy Desjardins. They are "Hardtack & Harmony". Their music is fantastic, lots of fun, and a pleasure to "illustrate".
