Lions don't even generally break necks, they do the same. OOps. The first cheetah is the same cheetah who caught the second gazelle, but if you look carefully, you'll see that the gazelle who is skipping away is running on sand while the cheetah hunts and runs on a grassy plain. Two different scenes.

That's because the cheetah in the first scene running at full speed wasn't actually chasing the skipping gazelle.  This video was edited. The gazelle who was caught was not the skipping gazelle and the cheetah who caught him was not the same cheetah in the first scene. Gazelles can run up to speeds of 50-55 mph.

this is two different clips. the first is a leopard, then a cheetah. Secondly, its two different gazelles, gazelles don't hop like that when their being chased by a cheetah, they only hop like that when they know they can outrun whatever is chasing them, that's their way of teasing

Actually, with a cheetah on its tail, a gazelle doesn't have time to "show" the cheetah its healthly, everything happens so fast, that if gazelles really did that, the cheetah's kill percentage would skyrocket, becuase the gazelle wouldn't have a chance. Also, that would make no sense if you thought about because before any of the cats start running and/or detected by the prey, they already have one picked out, regardless of whether it shows itself to be healthly. *think about it*

actually no cheetahs are still faster. If you ever watch hunts you would see the gazelle trying to get away by making sharp turns, but the gazelle slows down doing them, cheetahs can also do sharp turns, because they use there tail as a rudder, that's why it moves around allot when running, and its claws are permanently out providing traction, and the bottoms of there feet have big pads to help turn sharp to.

the cheetah also doesn't loose speed in sharp turns, or very little.
