damn, the music realy adds to the clip. awsome combo. cheetahs are so fast its unbelievable, the speed and agility. the ferrari's of the animal world.
Well, it could have been the mother with four cubs still around, but I don't see any baby fur on them still. So it's possible ti was a coalition of four brothers and a sister who hadn't left yet, or five brothers even.
The Gazelle at the middle part is not the same as the one shown being run down by the cheetah....it has horns whereas the unfortunate one has none or very little ones.....most of the hunt scenes caught on camera are all put together with different shots of hunts!!!......
i didn't know they were hunting in that big groups... but anyway, it's fascinating,, that the moment the cheetah reaches it's victim, he immediately breaks his neck, te second he gets there...
Only males hunt in groups once they reach adulthood. Also, they don't break their necks, they suffocate their prey by biting the front of their necks. Lions don't even generally break necks, they do the same. Sometimes, depending on how thick the prey's neck is, a big cat may be able to hit a major vein or artery, however, and make the kill faster.
The first cat was a leopard! I didn't see the tear marks or anything on it! Anyway, its quite unusual for cheetahs to live with a large number of their own like that. Cheetahs are solitude animals.
hahaha 5 cheetah on one,lol it had no chance shouldve just prayed stood still and let the cheetah's rip through her neck.lol those cheetah's dont play fair sometimes.
OOps. The first cheetah is the same cheetah who caught the second gazelle, but if you look carefully, you'll see that the gazelle who is skipping away is running on sand while the cheetah hunts and runs on a grassy plain. Two different scenes.
That's because the cheetah in the first scene running at full speed wasn't actually chasing the skipping gazelle. This video was edited. The gazelle who was caught was not the skipping gazelle and the cheetah who caught him was not the same cheetah in the first scene. Gazelles can run up to speeds of 50-55 mph.
OMG lOL! that gazzle at the start was like hipity hoity skip, like that cheetah was at full speed ( 70MPH ) At the full, gazzle about 10mph?
And then at the end that gazzle is like" Shit" and legs it! then the cheetah trips it up and then then gazzle is like nooooooo! there gonna (then it dies) ROFL!
this is two different clips. the first is a leopard, then a cheetah. Secondly, its two different gazelles, gazelles don't hop like that when their being chased by a cheetah, they only hop like that when they know they can outrun whatever is chasing them, that's their way of teasing
no sir, the gazelle will hop like that very early in the encounter as a deterrent to show the cheetah it is healthy in hopes the cheetah will choose a weaker target
Actually, with a cheetah on its tail, a gazelle doesn't have time to "show" the cheetah its healthly, everything happens so fast, that if gazelles really did that, the cheetah's kill percentage would skyrocket, becuase the gazelle wouldn't have a chance. Also, that would make no sense if you thought about because before any of the cats start running and/or detected by the prey, they already have one picked out, regardless of whether it shows itself to be healthly. *think about it*
that explains the hopping around by the first one. the second one is in fear for its life, the first one is playing around, or showing a predator that it can't catch him.
dat animal doesnt stand a chance against a cheetah. n e ways, does n e body know anythin bout cheetahs. im impersonating 1 in my class, dont ask, and i need to know wat it loves to smell, what it hates to touch, smell, and hear. can n e 1 help me out
that dumb ass gazelle why would you hop while the cheetah is chasing you! But I think I saw this before because the gazelles leg was messed up and that was why he was hoping trying to save his leg until the cheetah got closer
that gazelle is not the one that gets caught. the one jumping has large antlers the one caught has small ones. this clip is all over the place. as pointed out above the first cat you see is a leopard!
It was funny seeing the gazelle skipping around while the cheetah was running at him about 70 mph...LOL. I'm pretty sure this video was edited though.
actually no cheetahs are still faster. If you ever watch hunts you would see the gazelle trying to get away by making sharp turns, but the gazelle slows down doing them, cheetahs can also do sharp turns, because they use there tail as a rudder, that's why it moves around allot when running, and its claws are permanently out providing traction, and the bottoms of there feet have big pads to help turn sharp to.
the cheetah also doesn't loose speed in sharp turns, or very little.
Lmao how did the others get there so quick! "DUDE WE WERE WAITING FOR YOU!"

I think the two separate scenes. Is also because I have seen on TV. Or I do not know, was long; D

cheetah's already have a 50% kill rate, it doesn't get much better than that.
Musclebe 3 years ago
I agree but if "iketh28" was correct, that kill rate would be much better than 50%.
ray6639 3 years ago
look it's an entirely different gazelle, the horns are gone on the second gazelle but they are on the first.

that explains the hopping around by the first one. the second one is in fear for its life, the first one is playing around, or showing a predator that it can't catch him.

slow-ass gazelle vs. speed demon cheetah
Musclebe 4 years ago
Actually gazelles could out run cheetahs with their sharp turns.

Musclebe 3 years ago
actually no cheetahs are still faster.
