people need to realize bob chandler is the founder/creator of monster trucks. without him there would be no monster trucks or monster jam. He and dennis anderson had some classic races over the course of 30 years. There still is bigfoot VS grave digger races to this day(4 wheel and off road Jamboree every summer for instance). but merchandise has nothing to do with racing.

This time period was the best for monster trucks. The racing was real.. They put on a good show and they actually had point series.. When a crash happened it was a complete shock. Now it is normal for a truck to flip. I guess they will if you drive them over school bus and stuff like that.. It's all about entertainment. don't get me wrond its still fun to watch,but it will be great to actually see hard core racing again.
i agree i hate this new monster jam format the racing is rigged and freestyle is a joke. granted its fun to watch but i miss the days of side by side racing those were the best days of monster trucks. I honestly believe dennis anderson ruined the sport he never could race worth a damn and instead wrecked the truck all the time thenthis freestyle era began
These were the days when something like this was rare and unbelievable , yet it's so amazing how now a days just about every truck and every pass they make have these huge moments . This is the greatest motorsport ever !

monster jam racing is not rigged at all, and you do get some pretty hard core racing action from it, and there is no way dennis ruined the sport.
