I really like Adam. I have sent money to his campaign in New Mexico. I am greatly moved by his speeches. He nails them. But, Islam is not a race and Islamofascism does exist. I would agree that persons of Middle Eastern descent should not be mistreated as a result of their race. This is racism. Islamofascism deals with ideology and principle, not race, and it is a serious threat. If I speak out against Fascism would that be a racist slur against Germans?

I would suggest that ANSWER and Code Pink find someone not quite as dim as young Adam, but perhaps he and Jesse MacBeth are the cream that has risen to the top of that rancid brew.

It isn't a race, but Islam is no more an ideology than Christinaity or Judaism. Perhaps 'Culturalism' would be a better term. Let's face it though, when we think of a 'Muslim' we think of people who look a certain way.

There is a distinctive Muslim dress, which they deliberately maintain in order to assert their identity, though I doubt you meant that.

I didn't specifically mean just skin color, but most don't generally think of your standard western European phenotype when they think of Muslim. That's why there were plenty of non-Muslims catching hell after 9/11 merely for looking a certain way. You may not think that way, but there are still plenty of people who do.
