We will never know if Mike was a roider for sure. Without his bombers, he is not a hall of famer. However, the dude could hit for average which is uncommon for a catcher. Defensively, he was not Grote or Yeager but, he got the job done and dealt with the pitchers quite well. He should have been moved to the outfield, 3`d or first early in his career despite his reluctance.

As a Mets fan who loved Piazza I too would not be surprised if it turns out that he did steroids or HGH. I refuse to be one of those fans who automatically denies that his favorite players might be a cheater.

he wasnt on the mitchell report so hopefully he wasnt on steroids but there are hundreds and hundred of players that took roids who arent on that list so i cant say for sure he didnt take them

are you stupid? piazza's been 215 lbs for just about his entire career and there are epic stories of 500 foot homers as a TEENAGER. he's never been on steroids look at him. he's just an amazing hitter nothing less

I used that at another site, I was going to use ChocolatP-I-Z-Z-A, but it was already taken so I just added the a in there. Of course it doesn't hurt that I like Mike and am a chocoholic!

I am a huge piazza fan,but I must respectfully disagree with the "steroid-free" comment.
I think he is steroid free now,but not during his dodger and mets years.
