  • anybody interested to sell your matiz??? call me 95000 74568.

    Thanks Guys

  • hey, i have a 2001 matiz and i think the alternator belt has come off, since its not charging my battery, just wondering if you knew how to replace this. thanks

  • @sciontmm YOU JUS TO BUY A NEW ONE ITS VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL.. BUT FOR THAT YOU NEED TO BE BENEATH THE CAR... OR TAKE IT TO LOCAL MECHANIC HE WONT CHARGE YOU MORE THEN 20 $..

  • @sciontmm OR MAY BE THE ALTERNATOR HAS GONE FAULTY ... GET IT CHECKED.. MINE GAVE ME PROBLEM 3 YEARS BACK.. ITS THE RECTIFIERS WHICH ARE BURNED...NEED TO INSTALL NEW ONE !!!

  • JUST INSPECTED THE TIMING BELT OF MY MATIZ... THE BELT IS PERFECT... THE TEETH OF THE BELT IS ARE STILL BIG & THERE IS NO CRACK OR ANY KIND OF SIGN OF BELT GETTING WORN OUT.... LOOKS PERFECT... INSPECTED THE WATER PUMP EVERYTHING IS JUST PERFECT!!!!! TOUCH WOOD. CLEANED THE CRANKFLY WHEEL.... AREA NEAR THE WATER PUMP..TIMING BELT COVER TOO..

JUS WANTED TO GIVE REVIEW OF ABOUT THE VIDEO.... INSPECTED THE BELT AFTER EXACT 1 YEAR & 2 MONTHS... THE BELTS SEEMS PERFECT!!

  • Hey- i have a 2000 SE Plus model and im just curious to know how you got the cover off the timing belt without removing the oil dipstick and dismantling other components round it, as on mine they obstruct it from coming off. I need to check mine as its now done 51,000 miles and not been changed yet and to get the cover off other parts have to be removed which is not seen on your vid! Im guessing you put it back together so that you could show it running without the cover on?

  • i too have daewoo matiz 2000 same as urs but i ran 45000 KM and its 10 years..i have already changed the timing belt even it was running very fine..becoz after 10 years it may tear anytime.and could damage ur engiene.so replace soon..

  • @vfxnitin broken belt = bent valves (ouch)

  • @walkandlookup exactly...its dangerous n expensive as wel...heheh

  • @vfxnitin Changed mine at 50000 km (Beware! must, by all meaning change the belt tensioner as well, it's a must. better change a cheap part than a major engine work)

  • @walkandlookup really thanx for ur belt tensioner idea..

i appriciate..one problem with me frn?

my coolant is leaking everyday...i dont knw wht to do..mechanic cant help either..

its leaking from below the engiene comprt.

  • @vfxnitin 2 possibilities etither the water pump or the collertor pipe (the one that goes between the radiator and the engine after the rubber hose), many times this pipe is overlooked. do take a glimpse at the heater core. perhaps a pinhole in the lower hose may have you pissed off

  • @walkandlookup amazing..ur guess is right..pipe is overlooked...thanx for sharing your geniuos idea i m really impressed by you..hehe TC

  • @vfxnitin Referring to the coolant leak It just occurred to me U check as well the "water bottle" the plastic one where U put the coolant in. Use a very keen eye where te hoses meet or just check for leaks at the cap. I recommend to do that when the car is HOT (Please do not unskrew the cap while engine is HOT, is dangerous)

  • @walkandlookup give me ideas plz:

    1. I m planning to add carrier as i m traveling long 600 km in a day and back.

    2. Re painting it

    3. My fuse sucket holder of main headlite melt as i over used main light (dim and flash) frequently, I have bought new "fuse box" that is going to be fixed in the area of engiene comprt. shlots of wire so i m looking expert.

    4. how to prepare for long distance travell in matiz 2000. plz help..thanx in advance.

  • @vfxnitin long distance travel: Based in my experience since I live in the tropiks (40ºc average temp), check coolant, hane good tyre pressure, tho engine oil (if it is new better), air filter, take a look to your front end suspension and the shock absorber/damper and if U travel by night aim Ur light correctly. I guess U willl go with flying colorz

  • @walkandlookup thanx a lot for ur ideas...i will do as u said..i m travlling in early dec 2010..thanx again..

  • @vfxnitin GOSH EVERYONE FACES THIS KIND PROBLEM IN MATIZ... IT THE INLET MANIFOLD HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK IN IT... OR ITS BEEN WORN OUT... GET IT CHECK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.. BEFORE YOU DAMAGE YOUR LITTLE MACHINE...

  • @vfxnitin i have this problem one year ago too. after looong time, i find: in the rear of body engine, in metal, was a scratch (a thin hole) in the upper side, i seal this with poxipol and solve the big trouble. i do it my self without any mechanic skills, so you can do it yourself! good luck.!

  • @walkandlookup THIS IS WHAT FEARS ME THE MOST !

  • awesome g8 work ally
