  • Lol the USA didn't changed at all after the wild west xD

  • @xxweaponsxx123 very well stated, sir. You must be well informed based on your punctuation and choice of words. Your handle also indicates a broad knowledge of weapons, all shapes and sizes.

  • "60 of your-"

    Forget the word percent, dude?

I like how at around 30 seconds, he confuses himself. Was the camera man daydreaming or something? He couldn't be like, "Um... Let's get another take."

  • @ThatDudeSirraj Ah ok, I got it know EV is a bunch of different types of videos... Ah well, still good!

  • if your hand starts to shake, you might have to consider going to the gym some more..

  • "As you were" !?! :-D

    Nice videos ;-)

  • Wow, this technique changed my shooting drastically. Im 23 and have been shooting for about 1.5years now and this is the first im hearing of 60/40 push pull. This has made me much more stable and accurate at the range. I absolutely love learning about proper shooting stances, and techniques.

  • Happy birthday devil

  • Wow, I am going to try that the next time I am at the range. I never thought of or heard of the push/pull. I just tried it with my bare hands and it seemed so much more stable. Thank you!

  • This is terrible.

  • Plug-in and watch the video below for the proper way to grip and manipulate a pistol:

  • @Wodjanje

Excellent video! I was going to link it as well...

  • I really like this series of videos, and I am working on practicing many of the lessons.

HOWEVER, The physics / nerd part of my psyche is having an aneurysm with this 60/40 analogy. It is NOT possible to have UNBALANCED opposing forces without having a resulting accelerating motion. Period.

No disrespect is intended, I had similar military training on the Army issue 1911, and a push-pull grip was integral to controlling recoil.

Just had to pick that nit.

    Keep up the good work.

  • 4 people live in California.

  • wow the 60 40 really helps. i was pretty much only doing the 60 part and my left hand was only holding and not pulling back. thanks!

  • For a long.......

day at the range of course!

  • you dont have to be a good speaker to be an effective soldier. This guy is military trained/brainwashed. He was trained to kill by the finest military on the planet, this fact cannot be argued. Just because he doesnt speak with the polish of a used car salesman doesnt mean he wont have two holes in your sternum long before your piece is ever drawn.

  • this push pull technique is true, especially with larger hand guns. For example a desert eagle will jam excessively without pushing with strong and and pulling with weak hand. Good video!

  • great video and great technique. yes, to those asking - the 60/40 he's referring to is a percentage ratio... 60% of the total force exerted is from the 'push' (which comes from your strong/shooting arm) and 40% of the total force comes from the 'pull' (from your weak/supporting arm)

try it out on the range and you'll quickly understand what he's talking about.

  • Yes I would have to agree as it’s about safe practice & technique. The Instructor’s expressions and pausing may have some concerned, but he knows his stuff and he is not reading like others from scripted cards beside the camera. As you can see he demonstrates this, he explains in some simple terminology that’s easily comprehended that’s all The force he is talking about refers to the left & right hand grip. Correct me if i'm wrong.

  • At least this guy knows what he is talking about and can convey it well. The other guy from expert village was terrible!

  • @utookmynameufuck im just asking you coz you seem like you'll know. Do you know any sites that teach you how to operate a gun for people who never used one before?

  • I'm not sure I get the 40-60 aspect of this. 60-40 what? Is it percentages of the force of your push-pull?

  • @youresoemo Ya need to look at in the light of 100 percent is your strong arm, and you use your support arm pulls back to stabilize the weapon. 2 to 3 ratio, push pull, touch press. Shot recovery is paramount in cqb. That's what the purpose is, stable platform which ensures repeatability. Slow is fast......

  • As you were

  • i agree with him but he seems like a tard

  • @jayj420 dont mistake speech for stupidity. its just the way he talks... i guarantee hes a pretty bright guy. if you ever have done this line of work, you would understand that hes clearly much more advanced than youre average infantry guy. who knows... for all you know, he, or I, may be applying these skills, in order to give you the freedom to have clever little pot-smoking-reference screen names.. hmmm.. didnt think that one through, huh? ;-)

  • i like this guy I wonder if he has his own youtube, not affilliated with expertvillage!!!

  • JUST SHOOT THE GUN!!!!

  • @hydramiga That's not what this video is for. There are thousands of other videos you should look at if that is all you are looking for.

  • All styles have something to offer.I'ts up to the individual to find his or her own method.Body shapes, strength levels, eye sight and coordination all come into play.Never subscribe to one,try them, find the one or combo of styles and pound rounds down range.Ben Hogan said that a golfer has to hit balls for a minimum of 5 yrs to understand his swing,Consider a shooter to atleast practice 2 yrs, steady, to understand his style.Don't forget, "it never rains on the range"

  • he dosnt mention the push pull is to push with your base hand and pull with your hand that you steady yourself ,, (left)if your a righty but yea good video (;

  • The 60-40 rule has nothing to do with any "push, pull", it has to do with the amount of grip force you use with each hand while holding the pistol.

  • this guy is better than nutinfancy

  • I like this guy too, SHUNT. Better than that Jeff guy.

  • naw he gay

  • @blueberrykushable how you know he's gay? maybe your gay it takes a gay to know one

  • @blueberrykushable

why do all gays think everybody in the world is also gay? its like misery loves company

  • Are you law enforcement?

  • about time i saw a vid from expert village that has someone who knows what he is talking about! excellent vid!

  • @sw8741 Amen

  • Dude this brutha's good. Great vid!

  • First, I realize there are a lot of shooting theories out there, all from battleproven to range-only techniques. For myself, I don't see the meaning of pulling on your weapon in the same direction as the recoil works. There is already enough force moving that way.

All the shooters powers (in my opinion) should be focused on stabilising the weapon for a quicker retrieval of the sight pattern and a faster follow up shot if needed.

  • Reply so myself:

But that is NOT to say that i mean this guy is dead wrong. He obviosly know a lot of what he is talking about first hand and seems skilled. I think a lot of people would benefit a lot of listening real good to what he has to offer.

    Well done m8!

  • I really like this guy, he knows his stuff and the only people to argue with him seem like first time and single gun owners, Im 27 and have been dealing with firearms for only 10 years but I know alot and own many guns. I agree with this guy on many levels.

  • @SHUNT311

I've fired a handgun maybe twice, and I agree with it. He IS nervous though. Don't think he does this often.

  • LMAO! I love bad grammar on comments. =)

  • to ,ext456

    wHat... r u talkn about. :P

  • @NickDenning3

    LOL!

  • I lose 1:50 minutes of my life

  • oh oh i don't think so...what i learned from my training is that 40 from my strong hand and 60 from my weak hand should be the best way to have a grip of my pistol....would you

  • Cool got it

  • The problem with bending your arm is it acts a shock absorber. Meaning the frame will move back with the slid some and you will get more stove pipes. That turns your 15 shot into a single shot. That is why either a stiffen arm or push pull grip.

  • Thanks for the videos man.
