  • if you gave him 2 turntables and a plain mixer he couldnt do anything of this crap the computer is doing GRANDMASTER FLASH still the best

  • Has there ever been a better way to change the subject away from the actual talent you don't have by acting like someone is "not good" or "real" because of what their using to spin, produce, ect? I think not. It's the perfect excuse for all the haters lacking the actual talent, to change the subject away from natural talent. Sad..

  • I'm a traktor purist, but I'd love to switch to serato, lol

  • Oh shit he's a PRO(:

  • If you know how to mix with just vinyl, you can mix easily with a pair of cdj's or serato. It's good to learn how to mix without looking at the serato screen, that way you can concentrate more on the crowd. My advice is, if you are a serato dj, when learning to mix, just black out your laptop screen when you have picked a song and you're ready to mix it in. That way, you practise your ears, not your eyes.

  • if anyone needs proof that djing can be just as rewarding and difficult without vinyl, look at atrack.

  • a think al make a video up of me mixing and scratchin wile blind folded just to prove a point ;)

  • Badass man ;-)

  • wow

  • A battle dj with a sampler , you might has just make out you are mixing when you are not .

  • Dope Video

  • Dude... there is a BIG difference between a "button pusher" and a turntablist who uses serato. Skrillex is a button pusher, but DJ Craze is a turntablist who uses Traktor and I dare you to say he isn't a real DJ. And just so you know, I use serato AND vinyl AND cd's. Because I any tru DJ who loves the art isnt scared to play around with ALL forms of it. Because creativity is what keeps it real and NOT the equipment.

  • @ajthefourthkid thats true ur right but most djs are to old school and get angry because we spent nearly all our dj life practicing on vinyl and working extremely hard to master decks and djing all together now we have shitty laptop djs wasting every bit of time and effort we went through to be who we are now! think about it this way a pro dj does a set on vinyl and does ok then a we dj wonbe with a laptop does the same set with synk lock and gets the same credit now thats so shite!

  • @djdiligence 1st off... I disagree with using a sync lock myself! I mean come on son lets show that you got a some rhythm. LOL 2nd... Think about this, That same pro dj who does a set on vinyl and then gets less praise then the laptop dj who did the same set can "one-up" that shitty dj by taking a laptop and expose him for the poser he is. Think about... legends like DJ Craze, Shiftee, Jazzy Jeff, QBert, Revolution, A-Trak and countless others do it daily.

  • tbh he couldnt of done that without serato with cue points only thing hes really done in the vid was scratch a few times witch is easy! and they call that world champion omg ! lol

  • @djdiligence Quick hand me a blind fold lol

  • @djdiligence you right with out serato hi is nothing

  • this is just amazing, could someone please give me some guidence about how i could get to the level he is at (level : EPIC! ) i really need help i completely new to this and would love to do this kind of dj'ing, could someone help.

  • @MK2EA If you've got kit, the next step is practice, every.fucking.day. I've been scratching for the last two months solid and I never thought I'd learn so much in 8 weeks. Watch vids on Youtube, learn and listen dude. It's the same principle as learning to use any instrument! Good luck.

  • @TheLoneTroop a practiced without youtube for ten years tot myself everything after mastering stupid basic laptop djs with software ruined it for me thanks u wankers.

  • @djdiligence Who are you calling a wanker mate? And why are you directing this at me. I use Vinyl in conjunction with Traktor with 100% absolute mode. I don't believe in button pushing either. I'm all for walking into a room full of vinyl and being able to mix. I replied to someone who wanted to know how to use this stuff.

  • @TheLoneTroop its not at you its at laptop djs witch use mouses on there own without vinyl.

  • @djdiligence And secondly you must have picked up tips by watching people you admired? Surely this is a way of learning. The resources are there...guitar teachers teach guitar, why not learn to scratch from Someone like DJAngelo who's an amazing scratch artist and makes brilliant tutorials for people - for free. Big ups to that man.

  • @TheLoneTroop a didnt a learned by ear period!

  • WOW!!!

  • That shit WAS dope.

  • dj with laptops my ass i like real djs not this bullshit a real dj dont need a computer to tell him what to do

  • @bacatran2011 Dude... That is the DUMBEST thing to say about DJing. I don't knock any vinyl purist out there because that's their thing and there's nothing wrong with that. But EVERYTHING you can do with vinyl can be done with a laptop but there are things that can be done with a laptop that a vinyl purist could NEVER DO!! And fyi ALL of the greatest DJs that we all look up to have embraced the new technology so grow up a little bit.

  • @ajthefourthkid kid i bet you are one of the ''djs'' with seato jajajajajaja its not about growing up its about been real cuz now in days with serato virtual dj tracktor even your mother can be a dj but if you like a guy that just play with cue points using a keybord and looking to a screen and se if he is doing it right and call it a dj jajajaja thats you problem ...with out serato they aint nothing

  • @bacatran2011 you dont dj do you.

  • @ajthefourthkid

not everything can be done with a laptop!

With hardware u can work with 2 hands and even more fingers at

the same time, unless u have 10 cursors at the same time u can do better andvanced combinations with hardware

  • @DjordyScape Yea ur right. And I wasn't saying the everything can be done this a laptop. You have to incorporate some hardware with with it. But even if you have all this hardware, these vinyl purist dinosaurs will tell you "You're not keeping it real. Back in the day all I needed was two turntables, a mixer, and some records." Smh. I mean damn its 2012. LOL

  • @ajthefourthkid av been a scratch dj for 10 years and believe me vinyl has things software will never have to.

  • @ajthefourthkid There doing it because their is nothing like that bullshit argument of someone "being not good" or "real" because of what their using to do it (vinyl VS digital, analog equip VS digital prod. ect) to change the subject away from the main point of actual talent that most of them don't have. I'm a 13 yr vinyl dj who is sick of hearing this vinyl purist crap too.. :)

  • @bigge525 Very well said bro

  • @bacatran2011 Spot on mate!

  • and when i mean lazy, im talking about art

  • lazy

  • I've noticed this trend: after the 2000's turntablism has gotten more and more Electro.

  • @bigfatdick5000 but at least they keeping Turntablism Alive ;)

  • what turntables?

  • @NakedJKid Numark TTX

  • can someone please tell me how he assigned the high pass filter to the p2 knob ive looked everywhere and i cant figure it out

  • @watercolorz1 you can set the buttons and knobs to different funtions with SSL.. but the only know is done with the right click on your mouse (I think) or maybe your trackpad... either way you have to open the Mixers hardware and select the group with group button.. if you want to change something just right click on choose from the drop down menu...

  • He once fingered a girl... she died.

  • @MrSpecialeffectsguy if I had a penny everytime i've seen that joke, i'd have alot of money

  • What is all of the equipment outside of Serato this guy is using?, "Physical equipment" Can anybody tell me?

  • LOL DMC KIDS AWARDS :) w/o Serato you're nobody loser

  • I DO SAME HAND MOVES ON MY GIRLS PSSY AND I GET MORE OR LESS SAME SOUNDS... I GUESS IF I DO IT IN A MIX TABLE I CAN BE A BAD ASS DJ!!

  • i feel like my 57 isn't midi mapped like that...

  • :/ just realized if you actually watch carefully this is pretty easy set. Still sounds cool and is well put together :)

  • sick

  • needles used by?

  • HATER GONNA HATE ... BUT TRAKTOR IS MUUUUUCH BETTER

  • @MrNEUTRALBASS - depends on what midi you use. Traktor used to have all the shit and Serato was basic. Now Serato has spend the last 3 yrs coming out with new stuff. All traktor did was a minor upgrade. Which is good cuz Traktor pretty much has it all. Mostly geared toward electro djs, traktor might be better for uses 4 decks and all the effects. But other genres dont need all that. This video is monster and he's using serato with just the midi buttons. Too each his own.

  • o my god my mouth didnt close

  • dj swamp is ill

  • Nothing special. The level to beat is DJ Qbert. Qbert is to the turntable as Peter Frampton is to the guitar.

Nothing personal, but LigOne doesn't even come close.

  • @JoelModelo - i'll disagree. Qbert has a million scratches but so does L1. This video was just a demo not a showcase. Put both of them in a session and that's where the magic will come alive. Like i practice and practice but sometimes i cant get something exactly right. But when im on scene and some djs are killing it, i get dialed in and i do stuff i didnt know i could.

  • @JoelModelo This mini set is "nothing special"? You're crazy man! And relating Qbert on par with Frampton... uh, not exactly. Peter Frampton ain't on that level... maybe with the talkbox alone lol but even that'd be a stretch. Vajra all day anyway. COLORADO!

  • My only problem is, nowadays you can rock to a club and expect a shitty battered allen and heath mixer and a pair of cdjs THEN a pair of knackered technics. Until you actually make it as a DJ that plays music, using this amazing setup in the club environment is near enough an impossibility. It's hassle enough trying to set your serato box up! + cats gotta learn how to scratch first! Great video though, his dmc routine was the best by far. And the ttm57 is a dream mixer!

  • @jimineedles - I have a setup similiar to his. 57, dicers, technics, cdjs. So i wouldnt say impossible. Maybe just a pain in tha butt. lol

  • watch david guetta do this..

  • @kimo09productions1 - hahahaha, yea right.

  • If You like this style, check this link out guys , awesome scratching and really good track

  • Do not send any money to sales-overwholesale website in China for any sound equipment. Their whole website is a scam. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Pin Wang in China should contact the police, Rane and I, to put this "low-life" and his scum associates in prison for the rest of their lives.

  • @faustsmith Sorry to hear you've been ripped off. It happens to the best of us. Anyway, I hate to break it to you but there are about 40 MILLION Pin Wangs in China lol.

  • beat? :D please

  • want

  • Creepy, i'm fourteen and a dj too.

  • Huh... I have the exact dream and I'm the exact age as the dude below me... Weird...

  • the first beat was fking epic

  • this man copy dj rafik routine from dmc 2007 routine is the same only music is different!!

  • It's just opens the door to become more creative, but the reality is if you wanted to put together a set like that back in the day you could always press your own vinyl as many of the competitors have, and have the sounds you wanted all in a row so you wouldn't have to move the needle so far etc.. His skills are there that's all there is to it, dude's dope!

  • I WANT THE SCRATCH SAMPLES!!!!!

  • software dreck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GOOD MIX DJ

  • I wanna learn how to do this shit

  • Black Friday discount I'm not gonna say how much cuz I'd seem like a prick. (sorry for the mistake)

  • A hell of a lot of money, with a b

  • JUST ORDERED 2 NUMARK V7s at guitar center!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh yeaaaah!!!!!!

  • @FriedChickenScatch how much

    ?

  • AWESOME if your not a closed minded DJ you need to give those NUmark TTX1's a try. I have yet to see any dj who gave them a honest try not want them for there home setup.

  • @clanoue1167 thos numarks are actually pretty dope and inexpensive. they are just heavy as shit hahahaha

  • this is more of a video edit that a scratch performance . lol

  • with flare that fast, who needs scribbles..?

  • this is a real DJ, not only scratch

  • DEAR SANTA,

  • its crazy to think that back in the old school days turntablist would have to move the needle on the 1's and 2's in order the play a specific part of the track. now a days with hot cues and effects on the mixer. shit got so much easier.

I'm not hatting just shootin my thought!

  • @chunkrock I agree, technology has really changed things. It's given everybody who has a true understanding of turntablism a billion more options but it's also allowed every retard with a budget the ability to hit the sync button while looking cool. You're totally right though, it's crazy to think how much things have changed.

  • @chunkrock no doubt, thumbs up if you remember buying arrow stickers to mark cue points on vinyl! much luv dj homies, stay up!

  • @chunkrock you are not hating? you are not willing to accept new technology. As wel as the turntables rocked the world, now cue's and samplers and sequencers and shit rock the world. Same shit, different techniques.

  • @chunkrock easier, but also a way to do some incredibly more complicated stuff... i agree it has a downside when u see dj's like Baby Chino playing live shows... But on the other hand this guy looks like he can use the software to produce some incredible stuff that wudnt have been possible in the old school days...

  • @chunkrock hatter's gon hatt

  • @chunkrock you have to remember that DJing is about music, if it expands the range of music making with turntablism, it's evolving. Just like how we've gone from horses to cars. Some traditions are lost, but capabilities are extended. there's a lot of potential in controllerism and i can safely say despite all the convenience, it will never make someone without skills shine. if everyone can do something easier, then it takes more skills to stand out.

  • Does anybody know how he's able to control his effects like that? thanks

  • that was awesome

  • what piece of shit decks are they ?

  • @metalsinani there not shit there numark ttx's there actually sick decks mate

  • @durrwin your kidding right ? technics > the world. ive never seen a dmc winner ever use anything but :P its kinda embarressing

  • @metalsinani well for scratching they are technically not, the ttx's have like 4.5 kg torque whereas technics 1210 has 1.7Kg, also check out c2c, they won the group DMC 3 years in a row and they use TTX's. and why you so hostile lol its only equipment mate i'd rather listen to a sick dj on belt driven then someone who doesnt know what there doin on 1210's

  • @durrwin I agree and dont forget there heavy too

  • @metalsinani yeahhhhh.... no

they are great but skill>equipment all day..

  • Comment removed

  • @metalsinani seriously? craze was sponsored by stanton for a bit so there are plenty of vids of him using stanton tables...qbert with vestax for a while so there are plenty of vids of him and other ISP members using vestax PDX tables (old thud rumble turntable mechanics workshop video)...as long as the decks are direct drive and have good torque they'll work just fine..esp with serato/traktor..do your fuckin homework before you post close-minded responses like that..

  • @SidePocketrob1 Pretty sure all that equipment is "original" last I checked. Simply put, there is added "bells and whistles" to amp up the dj's performance and allow creativity to flourish. Definitely not on some DJ Hero BS. Basically, keep up with the times or get left behind...

  • Comment removed

  • If ur a real scratch artist use original equipment plz then we know that ur a tru dj

  • what mixer is that

  • @drfade27 TTM57SL

  • amazing just simply. tech is crazy nowdays

  • Two click flares all the way.

  • ahhhh well what do i have to say about serato?....its Gay...TRAKTOR ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzz i hope this wasnt the dmc routine! it's bad enough they've allowed serato in battles! it's fake all he's doin is pressin fuckin buttons! it's cool if your doin some type of studio mix or remix! but this has nothin to do with skill to me! all you cyber twats need to use REAL vinyl first before even thinkin your gonna be some techno jock on two virtual turntables!

  • can't decide between traktor and serato for vinyl control

  • @OZdsk if ur hip hop scratchy dj go with serato... if u likes effects etc go traktor : )

  • 0:16-0:17 that scratching makes me jizz,
