@pijef That's correct. It is now a Medium security prison, but retained it's USP title. I said "then" the highest security. It was the prison that started the supermax era. Look up "Waiting for Time USP Marion" on youtube; this was done back in the days when it was still a level 6. It was the most feared designation you could receive as a federal inmate. The 23-hour lockdown began after October 22, 1983 after two guards were killed within 24 hours. Ive never seen that much razor wire either :-(

With ADX supermax facilities you have way less human contact, obviously avoiding injury from serious terrorist and rape. Horrible.

He is in the adx the prison to the east of the fci, and the usp is to the north of the adx and the camp is to the south of the fci. Adx has towers the prison you were showing has zero. Healthcare is terrible organised. The chance for everybody to go to college and the quality of education can use some money. The infra-structure..roads and bridges need maintenance. Actually the facility you see from the street there is the FCI (medium) the ADX where all the high profile guys are is further back off the road, you can't really see it too well. You can see all four of the prisons there if you look on google maps.

As an adolescent interested in law, I've done some research of this prison. This prison is literally "Hell on Earth", in that matter.

Prisoners here are incarcerated 23-23 1/2 hours a day, and are only allowed to go out about 45 minutes a day for exercising only. They cannot come in contact with other prisoners.

Robert Hanssen is also held here, who committed 15 counts of Espionage. I'm sure the majority of you heard of him before.
