They are death metal although most of their stuff is very cryptic sounding when compared to other death metal bands but yeah they are death metal. Their lyrical themes are somewhat black metalish (Satanic and anti-Christian themes on their earlier records and ancient Sumerian gods and Lovecraftesque themes on the latter ones) but they are still considered death metal, after all Deicide and Possessed i.e. have satanic themes in their songs and they are death metal.

laibach did the remixes good. they just added some effects to make morbid angel's sound more powerful, twisted and dark.

these tracks sounds 'dirty' and that's ok. that clear, overmastered sound of 'covenant' killed almost all dynamics in m.a. music.

Ok,perhaps I was a little hasty in condemning this track,as on listening to it again,it ain't that bad...It's just that I'm a bit of a Laibach 'purist',as I have followed them since the 80's...no disrespect was mean't in my previous comment...Sometimes you have to hear a particular track again to appreciate it properly.
