  • Yes , Roy was very underated.

And Sorcerer was one of his best.

Also look up a movie of his called the Seven Ups, It is a must see.

  • Thanks so much for putting this Roy Scheider tribute together; a great actor (often underrated, I think)--an important part of so many great seventies pictures, from Jaws to Marathon Man to French Connection, on and on. I remember not having heard of Sorceror before seeing it in college, and being pretty much blown away by it! My wife is also a huge fan of Seaquest, and we just watched his very memorable performance as Dr. Benway in Naked Lunch a little while ago. Thanks again!

  • @topeconqueso You're welcome :) Thank you so much for the great comment,

brilliant actor Roy Scheider, my tribute to a superb actor.

  • 久しぶりに見た映像です。日本ではDVDになってないから貴重な映像です。

  • ohhhh....Tangerine Dream....that mellotron, that secuencer, that MOOGGGG...

  • @bobiquesada Thank you! very much.

  • If you never see another movie, see this one. I watched it tiwce prior to leaving the theater.

  • okay i knew i heard this song its in the warriors trailer lol, its the same song. Really cool. I love this movie was mostly filmed in the Dominican Republic.

  • Ive heard this song before in another movie the " Warriors" in the beginning of the movie when they are about to go to the big gang meeting.

  • Great movie, great music. Bought an army truck after seeing the movie.

  • @nylladderf Bought an army truck, nice one :)

    thanks nylladderf.

  • @nylladderf Wait really? That's awesome man. Freekin awesome.

  • Douse This Song Sound Like A Theme On The Game ,The Warriors.

  • good

  • best movie about trucks i ever saw.

  • can you stil get this on dvd...? i love td sounds on this vid......:)

  • @soundmanhaven1

You can only get the dvd in the USA.

    sorry.

  • @zrnho Netflx has it for rent or purchase.

  • @DippBlue Right thanks.

  • I found the Soundtrack LP, the pops and hiss seem integral now. Tangerine Dream had quite a run in the eighties... Thief soundtrack comes to mind, Risky Business of course....

  • le salaire de la peur

  • The reason this movie is called sorcerer is because its the name of the truck Scheider used to go through the whole rough terrain despite the odds being against him and the truck being practical a bucket of bolts that could break down any minute. its an appropriate name because what this guy had to go through to get paid would need a sorcerer to do it.

  • Just one thing...Scheider drives Lazaro..the other truck is calles Sorcerer and you know what happened to it and according to director William Friedkin Sorcerer is the idea of an evil wizard and the fact that we do not control our fates, just like in the film.

  • What a great movie. It is out there waiting to be discovered again.

  • Great movie and such a great music score too,

I love how the main character by the end of the movie brings the box of nitroglycerin totally exhausted, near insanity .

  • Thank you! vonligoten.

  • Ohhhh!!! This track is fantastic my friend! Great track of T.D. anbd great movie!

    5 stars and many aplauses!!!

  • This was used in the warriors too?

  • yep

  • No , Paramount just used it for the trailer

  • Oh man! I remember when my friend got this on vinyl. We would listen days for this soundtrack. It's so awesome. Glad now somebody put out on digital. Thank you zrnho!!

  • The story behnd this soundtrack is that Tangerine Dream had no seen the movie and they had 24 hours to come with music and they just winged and as u can hear it was perfect.. this soundtrack is up there with The Midnight Express as a truely 70s music

  • yep true that bro. kickass music. movie is a masterpiece.

  • Tangerine Dream is TRUE GENIUS. I have their soundtracks for the films "Miracle Mile" (1988), "The Keep"

(1983), and "The Legend" (1985). Their music propels the films therein into a higher level of viewing audience mysticism. I've seen The Sorcerer although not in recent years I have seen it several times and enjoyed it very much. The Keep is a must for DVD but to no avail it's not released on DVD. Roy Scheider was one of my favorite actors as a kid as many can imagine why ........ Jaws!!!

  • Thank you!! so much for this superb comment.! ;)

    take care! ..and,, thanks again:)

  • @DetroitLove4U Right ! You are lucky to have The Keep, . And don't forget Risky Business, and The Park is Mine. Even for comedy, ·3 O'Clok Hogh is incredible. TD is incredible still, and yes, Roy was a well known actor and missed, but there are archives.

  • This music was SO damn good, they re-used it for The Warriors trailer.

  • One of the best films ever

    Thanks for that

    Take care

  • Thank you.!!:) Gasteraner.

  • Too bad the movie came out the same weekend as Star Wars back in 77.

  • To be quite honest, if I had to choose between Star Wars or Sorcerer, I'd take Sorcerer without a seconds hesitation.

  • Oh well that's Cool. I would too, the movie is pretty different, very tough, dirty, gritty and realistic. Awesome movie.

  • its very nice one,5*****!

  • Cheers, nhito!

  • Fabulous sound track,i forgot it untii i watch it here, thank you

  • "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?"
