Sounds more like a D7 to me. That wonky whistle lol. What I like about it is that even though she went off key, she pulled it back and fit back into the music while still using melisma. Well her best album as far as sales wise, "Music Box," didn't sell 200k at first or debut at #1 either. All she needs is to choose the right songs to release from the album. So far she's only done Oprah, the Today Show, & The View. None of them were really in depth interviews. For "E=MC2" she did a lot more.

Sounds more like a D7 to me. That wonky whistle lol. What I like about it is that even though she went off key, she pulled it back and fit back into the music while still using melisma. Most people who whistle could barely hit the note let a alone reposition them and still using technique like that.

Well her best album as far as sales wise, "Music Box," didn't sell 200k at first or debut at #1 either. All she needs is to choose the right songs to release from the album. Her album could be another "Back To Black" like Amy Winehouse's or like her own "Music Box" where it performs "bad" initially but then picks up momentum. She also needs to do more promotion. So far she's only done Oprah, the Today Show, & The View. None of them were really in depth interviews. For "E=MC2" she did a lot more.

its said that mariah is gonna sale 160,000 albums in the first week. like ummmmm thats horrible for "MARIAH CAREY".im so disappointed :( she should have never came out with freakin obsessed.the album to me isnt that good she should have worked with other producers change out some of those songs. released hateu or angles cry as singles first.

THINK about this though, she did that whistle register, and was able to fluctuate it thats so hard to do, and not loose it!!!!!!...and she mighta thought she was about to end it on a incomplete note, so she added more to it...i think thats brilliant!...jes, i dont think she messed it up, she actually fixed it..lol :)

It's a little painful to listen to Mariah, especially in her chest voice. It always cracks! But when she's not pushing her voice so much that it strains and squeaks, it sounds very nice.

Seriously Mariah? U sang a little on Oprah and pre-recorded that version and took it and ran! All she had to do was hit a whistle and I still ain't convinced that her mic don't have a whistle botton on it! I'll be watching to see how much they take the camera away from her mouth!

Sure sure :) Mariah always pre-record the songs before singing in live shows blah blah blah LIES, If you feel good saying she pre-recorded a version of the song and did a playback out of it, OK! But man.. just try to accept the fact that Mariah is still here. there was another woman in Central Park weeks before and all she was doing was babbling words as the music was on.... that's horrible! If you dont like Mariah go and listen to (i.e) Whitney's amazing live performances of "I look to you" :)

But she ruined this song with her raspy voice.
Check out Tina arena's version when she did this cover version years a go i think in 1997
