  • ive got 2 questions

    1) is it safe having water going onto the fluff gaurd whilst in use

    2) were does the water go after bein rinsed

  • @marthalover4ever The water can either be pumped away if you connect it to a drain pump, or it will collect in its condenser drawer(Like a normal condenser dryer) at the top.

Answer to Question 1-Water doesn't go into the fluff filter. It goes into the main condensing unit, which remains cool to condense the hot moist air into water. This is completely safe, and I am sure if it wasn't Miele also would not use the same idea in there dryers.

    Hope this helps,

  • I just bought the washer and dryer set, 2000 dollars American. hope it is worth it.

  • @TexasToast09 I think it will at that price!

  • thank you

  • deary me i seamed to b getting u confused the dryer is 13yrs old the washer is 4yrs old

  • oh good!

  • is the hottie dead if not will u make more vids of it

  • my Hottie is working absaloutly fine, no its not dead yet!

I will upload some vids of a fluff removal silk cycle on Thursday! Thanks for replying

  • @glenfieldmathk1 You know, not to be rude or anything, but when will europe ever learn that condeser dryers are not energy efficient at all, where as vented dryers are, that is the main reason America did away with condenser dryers in the 50's..

  • @deltaboy767 Electric vented dryers are not as efficient as these condenser ones! These condenser ones use a different heating element called Heat pump, which is more efficient than Gas(as this uses a non renewable resource).

So it is more efficient than even those in America.

America condensers are Europe's old Condensers, yes they are inefficientl!

  • i will upload a vid of it soon

  • @Nextra6 Oh Good, can't wait!

  • yes hopefully its 13yrs old!

  • @Nextra6 that is old, my hotpoint brown(matched the washer) broke after just 7 Years, the washer goes strong though, 14 years old now!

  • ive got a servis easi-dry and the door handle is broken we have to use a spanner to get it open lol

  • that is really bad, are you gonna get a new one?

  • our dryer has broken again i sed not worth fixin it but my dad insits brittish gass cumin out to check it but we should get this one hopefully

  • This dryer? Why not wait until the UK Gets Boschs 50% more efficent than A Tumble dryer? Even better than this, Can't stand the hideous Plastic white doors though!

  • I hate it! Looks awfull, prefer it if they put a square plastic door on or a Glass door

  • glad you think so, just a shame the UK has a crappy plastic door on it!

  • Wow! Great dryer! What happens if the person who buys it uses hard water? And what happens if the water does not rinse out all of the lint, and then over the years more and more lint will get stuck in there, and then more and more lint will build up over the years.

  • Somebody told me that they brought one and after just 1 month, theres cloged up with lint and Bosch came out and said, 'it's all clogged up,' Bosch gave them the other Bosch condensor(Without the self cleaner) and the person is now very happy.

So hard water must affect it, whereas soft water probably works well

  • Yeah. So it might not be a good idea to buy the Bosch self cleaning dryer. The ones that you have to clean the lint filter yourself is better.

  • That applied to the first generation of these dryers. The pumps weren't strong and the internal pipes not wide enough - so the mechanism got clogged with lint. The current versions have upgraded parts so clogging shouldn't be an issue.

Hard water won't affect the performance as the heat pump is flushed with condensed / demineralized water.

  • Oh, so the A-50%(Not in the uk) are the ones which don't clogg up! I hope the UK will get them, otherwise the review sites will be telling people these dryers clogg up loads. I have seen 6 reviews saying almost the same thing, so hope the new A-50 Generation gets to the uk pretty fast! (I have beenj told by Bosch we have to wait till February2010 before UK Gets the varioperfect/eco/A-50 Range!

  • No, they actually tested the "old" version but it obviously already had the updated parts. I think those people having problems should call Bosch and have the parts exchanged - should be free of charge.

I can scan and eMail the test to you if you like. It's in German, though. :)

  • I think people should email bosch and have the parts exchanged, as It Shouldn't be as bad as that!

They could get their dryer exchanged too to the 8KG one. They are bringing a steam one out Very Soon!

  • Yes, the blueSteam / ActiveSteam is available since September - over here. I haven't seen it in person but it suspect it works like the Bosch dryers with MistCare in the US: by spraying a fine mist onto the tumbling clothes.

  • Yes, I thought it was available in Germany and world wide in November!!!

Still yes I think it does work like the USA Ones, It has 4 steam programs, I don't quite know what they are, as I can't download the instruction manual yet, bsh customer service says the instruction manual is not available!

Hope fully the UK will get the latest range soon, I quiet like the WAS32792 and the steam exxklusiv dryer!

  • There are four steam-assisted cycles: "steam refresh casuals" + "steam refresh business" to freshen and dewrinkle clothes and "cottons non-iron" + "easy-care non-iron" to dry and dewrinkle washed clothes.

Got the info from the press section.

  • Oh OK!

Thanks for the info, so they have an extra cycle than the USA Ones!

I really love it, shame that Bosch don't do steam ones in Vented though, or they haven't made Gas ones yet, gas is apparently the most eco dryer you could get! White KNight has one and It says the most eco dryer in the world!

  • Well, Miele had a gas dryer some years ago but it never caught on - too little public demand, I guess. It could dry a load it 50 minutes.

However, it seems as if electric condenser dryers are what the EU market wants.

  • I think Vented dryers are more popular in the uk still, even though the condensor models seem to have better designs in the uk(more progs ect) and there is a bigger choice of Condensors!

  • The German version of Which? tested heat-pump dryers just recently. They also ran 40 full loads of towels through each dryer to test how often the filters need cleaning. During these 40 loads:

AEG/Electrolux: needed cleaning on every fifth load

    Miele: needed claning once

B/S/H: no cleaning needed and no lint found on the heat-pump

  • Oh the new ones are good then arent they! I seriously think Bosch in the uk is behind Germany by about 6 months!

    I always trust Which?

  • Great tumble dryer! I hope that one makes laundry life easier for whoever buys it.

  • Well it can do I hope! But in The uk It has just a plastic door! I prefer a glass one to see the clothes tumbling!

  • very nice. this wtw84560gb is on the sainsburys website for £625. the siemens equivlant is £789

  • The siemens one is dearer as it has the glass door & Chrome colour!

I love that sainsburrys website BTW, Thanks for getting me into it!

  • i looked closer at the 2 and the siemenns has 2 extra programms, mind you if i could choose i would have the siemens

  • The Siemens has a better program choice yes! I also prefer the siemens one, as it has a shirts program and a glass door. I Also like the chrome!

  • nice and kool

  • Glad you like it!
