  • looks like british airways *puts on shades* just got 3 7's to take care of

  • hi, what is that opening on the engine at landing please?

  • gr8 vid? Any turbulence?

  • CUUUTEEEEE engines......i love em

  • Litrely shitting myself watching the video haha. im going to usa in 5 days on brittish airways 777

  • 0:55 that's where I film my videos, in the field:D

  • wow----glad you done the two parts of this video---i enjoyed it very much---hope you had a great holiday too---bubbles xxx

  • r u allowed to video take off. i no tht anything that has wifi or any connections (eg:phone) has to turn off and they say cameras even. so is it ok to record with my camera?

  • @BritishairwaysFSimX Yeah it is. You just have to wait until the F/A are seated for takeoff/landing.

  • how was the ptv?

  • @Tescok Sorry what do you mean by ptv?

  • The personTV. was it AVOD? (audio/video on demand?)

  • Oh! This flight was over a year ago and was in the old Club world prodct - smaller screen and no AVOD. I'm reliably informed that this particular aircraft has now been outfitted with Next Generation Club World with the larger screens and AVOD. In any case I tend to spend most of the flight listening to my Ipod :)

  • FlightSimKid, Idle reverse can be permitted down to about 20knts or taxing speed. Even though you see the reversers open its general practice, after 50-60knots to idle reverse. Becuase full reverse etc will kick up a lot of FOD.

    I hope that helps.

  • Ive been there on BA.

  • On landing I noticed something, I don't know if It was me but In aviation, your prohibited to use reverse thrust below 60 Knots. It looked like when the pilot disengaged reverse thrust he was doing about 20knots. Anyone else notice this?

  • You are, i didn't know that... and yes i noticed it but idk, because I know that some aircraft engines take some time before they engine shield (or what ever it's called) closes, about 3 - 5 or so seconds... but as i said idk

  • Yea he did

But the reason why i think he did it was to catch that taxiway

  • Thank you for the comments and rating. Hope you get to visit very soon. Barbados, and all of the Caribbean islands, are all lovely in their own unique way.

  • @2pb i know we go every four years as a treat for the family were going tomorrow at 2:00am in the morning lol im eleven now the last time we went was when i was seven i cant remember much now lol

  • Hello!Nice takeoff to Barbados and nice landning too!=)

    I love it!I dont travel to Barbardos!=)

I come do it a one beantiful day!=)

    Give you 5 star!=)

Love green/blue water and love sunny weather!=)

    Greeting TheCARRE74=)

  • man i love those engine sounds!!!

  • Is it just me or did you loose a panel from the engine during flight?

  • Not sure what you mean - at whatt time does it appear in the video? do you mean the grayish strip near the bottom? I think that gray strip is always there.

  • On landing? That's the reverse thrust in action, slowing the plane down.. Unless someone else can correct me

  • @PALLEN8112 It's just you. On certain planes, the engine panels open up during landing to help slow the plane down, called 'reverse thrust'.

  • im going on the 5th of July 09! yay!!!!!!! x

  • Can i ask you a question??

why are you going to a smalle? [Barbados]?

  • Holiday! Sun, sand, relaxation and all that ..

  • Next time go to Jamaica unlike Smalle land. =)

  • Oh ok, (= hope you had a nice time

  • WHEEEEE I love take off when the engines are cranked up you're pushed back in your seat, its great! Fab vid btw..

  • Totally agree - you only appreciate how huge the GE90 engines are when you board the aircraft via steps - as you do in Barbados. Hope to travel again in June - watch out for my next video.

  • We normally enter the plane through the tube thing lol (not sure what its called) I normally sit by the wing next to the window, but I sometimes sit at the front of the plane next to the walkway. Its funny during takeoff when you look down the walkway everybody looks like theyre sitting on a hill :D

  • i know man it feels soo good when your pushed back in your seat n going fast

  • Anyone notice the grey spot on the engine that wasn't there on the takeoff portion of the video, but appeared during the descent portion of the video?

  • Can't spot it - pardon the pun! May be a reflection through the window?

  • i love the shier power of these things

  • I love the sound and feeling of going from spooling up the engines to take-off thrust.

Gives me goosebumps... does that count as a kind of fetish I wonder?! Or maybe I just love planes.

  • I think you just love airplanes :P, but I share your love of them. :)

  • beautiful video

  • Nice Vid - thanks!

  • I think I operated that flight!

  • wow . the airport has not changed a bit since i were there 12 years ago. BA flew back then 747's to Barbados from Gatwick. Those were the days of the Club cradle seats.

  • Aer Lingus are opening a new hub at gatwick in April. They will base 4 Airbus 320 aircraft and fly to

    Malaga

    Faro ,

    Nice ,

    Zurich ,

    Munich ,

    Vienna ,

    Ireland west Knock

    and Dublin.

  • Hi, The flight takes around 7 hours 50 minutes to 8 hours 15 minutes depending on prevailing winds. Can't help with the second part of your question I'm afraid. Worth sending them an email perhaps?

  • How long does it take from gatwick to barbados going out there in feb 09 with princess cruises and wondering how long the flight is? Also does any1 no what airline princess cruises use to fly you out there. thanks

  • very nice vid, thanks for posting

  • Wonderful video thank you for posting.

  • Thanks for the comment. Barbados is UTC/GMT -4 hours

  • Awesome :D.. What's the time-zone in Barbados? (e.g. GMT + 1)

  • very nice. Thanx for sharing

  • Its funny when you fly in to a caribbean airport all the planes are so small then a huge 777 lands and dominates the airport!

  • Not all, Barbados caters to all kinds of aircraft from the Antonov back down.

I could see my house at 5:07.

  • yep Barbados carries almost everything. the 777 never dominates adams. we take larger.

  • We could even handle the Concorde we accept everything at Adams lol

  • @moshrunners Virgin Atlantic 747 also come in Barbados

  • Hi There, Is it OK if I can please borrow your cabin sounds for one of my videos.

    Gr8 video BTW

    Thanks

  • nice video

  • We are travelling to barbados 1/10/2008 on B.A.

We have been given seats 21 a&b as we have a 1 year old and we have booked world traveller plus.

  • I hope you have a great trip. Seat 21 a/b are brilliant seats as they are bulkheads.

You are on the left side so you'll get a much longer view of the island on landing than shown in my video.

    Enjoy your trip.

  • nice video. what seat were you in?

  • Thanks! My first go at both Youtube and the camcorder. I was in seat 11K.

  • Nice to see British continuing the tradition of operating quality equipment to Barbados, from Concorde to this 777. Could the A380 be next?

  • thats the perfect seat!!!!:P
