  • I love Mike's divine recitations...this is an absolutely beautiful video..thank you for sharing with us..:-)

  • Master mind Mike,,the voice and minds wich wasthe base of the moody blues

  • May he " keep on trudging the road to happy destiny."

  • All that... time and effort to put visuals to his music and you don't show one image of the man or the album you 'borrowed' the music from????? Shame on ya.

  • @buck020 Maybe it has been added since your comment, but at :05 there is an image of Michael circa 1970.

  • All that... time and effort to put visuals to his music and you don't show one image of the man???? Shame on ya.

  • Please do keep spreading your beauty around, Mike - this crazy, f*****g world needs it, badly! All the best!

  • AWESOME VIDEO..... Mikes got a great speaking voice.... as well as singing

  • Wonderful video, lovely combination of three in one from the one and only Mike Pinder. Where did you you find all the great space animations? The edit sequence around 3 minutes, when the galactic accelerating continuum morphs into the window, which in turn is reflected in the eyeball, simply blew me away! God bless you! Just curious, how did you come to Catholic Christianity? My wife recently became a Catholic, after decades of being a Pentecostal, and I am looking into it, too.

  • BRILLIANT,BRILLIANT,BRILLIANT-Thats got2b the best upload Ivé come across on utube.Its made my week&more!! Went straight2my fav's.

  • I gota thank you sooo much for that upload,it just blew my head off!!! • Astronomical societies worldwide should adopt this piece and video.

  • This is what the Moody Blues would be today with Pinder and Thomas aboard.

They are still great...still ethereal, but.....missing the cosmos. They're still light years ahead of other groups...aware of God.Aware of people. Agape poweed.

  • Steve It figures that you would be the up loader of this great piece.

Leave it to a fella with such great taste.

  • Among the stars you and i

We learn to live the dream

Suspended here in time and space

    Projections on a screen

We move through love to reach the light

    That shines within us all

    The knowledge of the universe

    Live love instead of war

  • True freedom's spread around us

It's right here, right now, today

    Humanity's forgotten how

To step back in the way

The way is dark and narrow

    It climbs and then unfurls

    Inner-space is where we find

    Ourselves within all worlds

  • Something was missing when Mike left the Moody's, & he was the brains behind the band, although they are all equally talented, so long may they rock.

  • I think this is nice. It's a shame Mike would not tour with the band. Moraz was a big part of LDV and the Present. His contribution was also great. The band is still performing at a high level and Norda is a great replacement for Ray. Things are what they are and there's no need to harbor negative feelings toward any of the members or former members of the Moody Blues.

  • Among the Stars is my favorite album of all time. What a beautiful gift it is!

  • mike will always be the Moody Blues - a beautiful mind - thx mike

  • This is amazing! Thank you for psoting this!!!!!

  • excelente!!!.....grande los moodies, especialmente en la etapa pinder; muy bien logrado el video, gracias!!

  • I know it's been 30 years...but I LOVED the Moody Blues and they went limp after Pinder left. (Not that there were not moments...but that wizzy french squirrel that took over the keyboards made the Moodys sound like 'McMoody Blues".

  • @CaptainPrivate McMoodys! Good one!!

  • Amazing video and song.

Been a Moodies fan since I was a kid.

Mike Pinder was a big part of their sound.

    Dave.

    Thanks for the share Anita.

  • sending love ... and a daisy

  • For me, the Moody Blues lost something significant when Mike left. Moraz was probably more gifted as a keyboard player, but Mike had more ability to create feelings and moods, and to touch the soul. He understood how to create such richness of sound from those primitive melotrons. Also, it was the 80s and you weren't hip unless your synthesizer sounded like a farting trumpet, in spite of their sophistcation.

  • Yes, You are right. It had magic, that sound of the mellotron, so beautiful!

  • @jedsonbass73 Mike was truly one of the first to use layerd sounds live. He had the rhythm and fill tracks on the left side of his Mellotron MkII replaced with additional banks of strings and other orchestra sounds so he could play two completely different types of instruments to get that great sound.

  • @jedsonbass73 Moraz was a "hired gun" & never actually considered a part of the band, just a sideman. Michael was a founder & the loss of his contributions took something away that was never fully replaced. I have 2 of his CD's & as mentioned elsewhere, if you order directly from him he sends you an autographed copy.

  • very well done, mikes melotrton playing is great, never heard this before, where did you get this?

  • Mike has put out a few solo albums (CDs). you can go to his web site to order. He will also sign any CDs you order from him, if you ask.

  • Such a Beautiful Song & Video!!! I Love listening to Mike Pinder's voice...5*s Thanks Anita

  • @anitashelby his voice sounds so warm ,His masters voice !!!!,such a pitty that He left The Moody's .............

P.S . do You Know Them for many years?

    Thanks,,,,,Jan

  • Listening to this does make one feel like they are travelling thru the universe indeed.

  • What an awesome compilation of wonderful Pinder-tron tunes and images. Mike is always thought of and surely missed by me, a Moody fan since 1968 (when I was only 7).

Mike, before you go out "among the stars", please get back with the band for one tour, or even one night in London to complete the circle and put the final touches onto one Awesome Band's sound! PLEASE!

  • Still sounds excellent! I know it's been a long time....but The Moody's were never quite the same without Pinder. His mellotron and vocals were half of the sound of the Moody Blues........

  • Awesome job on this video! What a great spirit Mike has shared with us through the years. Thank you.

  • SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG & VIDEO!!! 5*s & more..Thanks soo much for posting..Anita

  • Man I love this stuff! I love all of the Moodies solo stuff too! I have like every song any of them have ever made on my MP3 player and I have to say. after hearing how Deep and thought provoking and awesome there music is everyone elses music just isnt good enough for me. Their msic has Helped me through alot.

  • This song is from 1993 , He released a solo album , And that's when I met MIke Pinder .

I got a chance to talk with him , And I got his autograph and he also signed my A question

Balance LP , really nice guy !!!

  • I've been waiting for something like this from Mike Pinder. It's been a long wait, but worth it! Mike is such a fabulous talent and with a heart as big as the earth. As a big Moodies fan, I've searched You Tube and enjoy and reflect on all the fabulous music they have left us. Much of the emphasis seems focused on Justin, that he IS the Moodies. But I feel Mike Pinder was and is the heart and soul of the Moodies. Thanks so much for this lovely video. Special thanks to Mike Pider. Made my day!

  • Rightly and pointedly well observed. Mike was the guiding light and very much inspirational of the mood of the 7 + Octave masterpieces that Justin, John and Ray responded well to. Graeme copmplemented well with the other members. A fantastic odyssey, indeed, and this video very much sums up the scope that has been transpiring through Mike's omnipresence with the Moody Blues. I'm still in touch with Mike and the young sons (in 1994 with "Among The Stars") of the now Pinder Brothers fame..;-)

  • Wonderful! Thanks! Keep on thinking Free!

  • Thanks Steve!

  • As a big Moodies Fan ..Mike was always just Brilliant..Thanks for Posting ....... EXCELLENT.....

  • Pinder,celui qui portait le "spirit" à mon avis à l'intérieur du groupe.Chefs d'oeuvres furent créer avec les autres pendant qu'il y était.Merci Mike!

  • What a fantastic video!!

  • Thanks!

  • This is such a good video

  • Great video,it reminds me of how small we are and how big God is ;)

  • Thats the last chord what the Moodies have lost since hes gone!

  • Excellent video with the superb music of Mike Pinder.

    Del

  • Wonderful transition there in the beginning. I don't remember the first poem seguing into the tune, so you must have spliced it yourself. Great job. Great video.

  • Nice vid! I always wanted to take trip like that. I'm gonna go again. This is saving me a bundle on space travel but it also really makes me wish the bad guys were'nt always in control of our future. Can i get an Amen? Mike Pinder and The Moody Blues are beyond...

  • Thank You......Thank You *smiles*

  • I repeat "gilou 148".Moody Blues ends in Seventh Sojourn; after this, it's just bones and sugar.

  • WOW

Miss his voice and his cosmic conscience.

  • Mike Pinder, Mr Melancholy man, was an important member of the Moody Blues, after him, the group was not same...

  • I agree, and since his voice hasn't changed all these years, I am hoping to see more from him in the near future.

  • Sometimes the collaboration of the individual parts is greater than the whole. Don't think Mcartney was as good as the combination of Lennon/McCartney.

I recall a review in the seventies: Moody Blues: like five fingers of the hand, and Mike Pinder was the finger pointing the way.

  • We were all created at once ... together

We will only return to Creation ...

    together ...

    Or not at all ...

  • mike pinder is going to be very popular. again!

  • Beautiful!
