  • You should think bout joining Prospectors Plus out of Sultan, a very good prospecting friend of mine is a member of that club and always had nothing but good things to say about it... They have claims through out Washington, Sultan River, Olney creek, some in the Liberty area and Blewett Pass.. I know if I was back home I would be a member. You can find them at their prospecting store in Sultan or online, great video. You make me home sick everytime I watch them..

  • hahaha.. you guys are fuckin pussies.. this is washington bitch.. you sallies are not even made for our terrain at all, to traverse these areas you need more than a fucking camera crew hahah... fuckin joke... camera crew is all a joke... fuckin posers.. go back to california

  • @supermini50 -- what's your problem? No need to bring the name-calling and profanity into this.

  • We want to bring a lot of machines to the Burnt River this year in June and September.

  • I see you have the automatic panner out and working! To bad I was in Iraq, I missed out on a lot! You know I wouldn't have complained trailing those overgrown paths. Old Dogs!

  • lose weight fat boy... mom!!! haha!!!

  • Good times

  • Good job!! 5 stars

  • Thanks!

  • I have done a bit of exploring up the carbon river and it's tributaries, as well as the south side of the stuart range. I would love to tag along or show where I know, if you're interested.

  • willy: what are you finding up there? I've seen reports of fossils down by Carbonado, and obviously coal mines. There was a short-lived gold district on the east side of Mt. Rainier, but I think it's a ski area now. Tell me more!

  • I grew up in Buckley. I have found gold in the green river. I have been into 2 hard rock mines up the carbon near Mt. Rainier. The both seem to be copper, and silver, and one has comercial levels of I think Barium in it. I know of 30 or so so hard rock mines in the carbon river neighborhood, and have been into 2 coal mines in the lower carbon area. I have seen caol fossils, and hve also seen a couple sandstone and shale deposits. I need to learn more about the rock types because:

  • I would definitely be interested in checking it out. I'd probably want to wait for the weather to improve a little, tho. I'm headed up there to search for amber on Tiger Mountain in mid-May, so that might be a good weekend to target.

  • I've heard about the Amber up there on tiger, but I hear it's a closly guarded secret. I have also been told there are some good placer gold deposits on the raging river wich is just past tiger mountain. It boarders the snoqualamie batholith. I have never explored it though.

  • Just keep me posted. My wife is about to have #4 any day now, so by May I might be able to get out of the house.

  • I have heard of a rather generous gold seem between native rock and shist, but I don't know what either looks like. I also stumbled upon a quartz vein in the upper portions of a tributary to the carbon. Sorry for the run on scentences. lol.

  • P.S. I have also found gold on the south prarie creek.

  • I found a coal mine once where you could see palm leaves and trilobytes in the sandstone walls. I have found garnets while panning on the green river. I have found a quartz vein in a rock out cropping near Mt Rainier. I have been told stories about various different valuble metals and ores in the general area of carbon river. A group of friends and I managed to extract about an ounce of gold from the green river in a weeks time.

  • Didn't the laws recently ease up on the panning of gold in the creeks of Washington state?

  • Yes, they did. KING 5 news: "For the first time in a decade, panning for gold in Washington State is considered legal." While not strictly true (under the 1999 rules you could pan almost anywhere all year except in streams, where panning was allowed only during specified "work windows,") the message to the public is clear: Washington's streams are now essentially wide open to anyone with a gold pan."

  • I just watched you other videos too. I enjoyed them all. Keep them coming and try to stay dry!

  • I wish I had Final Cut. This was all done in IMovie.

  • Pretty cool. Good job editing. Final Cut is a great program isn't it?
