as long as you get out before the prompt wherein you see the number of exp and LP you earned after killing Dustia appears, he will still respawn even after you break the chain and save your game.

easier way to get phoenix downs is to leg it thru the desert and talk to lohen, by the sandsea exit, he's a merchant and that way you dont lose your chain, so you can snatch some flame staves

i saw someone do this by not fighting it but the zombies it creates and they eventually got up to lvl 55 and had over 10,000 lp but what sort of gambits could be used for this?

Wrong, you aren't supposed to stand there and let it's body disappear, after you cast it and it glows gold, you run back to the previous area, then come back and it respawns, it's a bug lol

You just need to zone out before lp and exp shows up so u need to be fast if you want the loot too

It really helped out whenever I was stuck in a certain area. Plus, now I started all over and I'm doing this until Im 99. I want my buddy to see the game since he rules at X, so I told him if I level up to 99 at the beginning of the game it would go faster and he could watch the whole thing in a day. Anyways, my point is Im only lv5 so far and it's going to take a lot longer than 10 minutes sped up lol lame

the loot is the book of origin you can sell one for 532 gil which is enough to buy 2 pheonix downs if you want to keep getting the loot you can just buy the warmage monograph you have to complete wolf in the waste thextera hunt and tak to gastly go to the bazaar there should be something called forgotten grimmore for 20,000 gil that can help you increase the drop rate of zombies and somethin else

How could you not know about the Western Sand (the place where there's a teleportation crystal)? there's a merchant there that sell Phoenix downs.

This way u don't have to break the Dustia Chain.

yup actually u just need to level till 98 then other character will be 99. it will be time consuming lol. no need to level up so much actually unless for your own fun. i think lv 20 should be enough. no need leveling also can. i beat the game at level 1 only( 122333 )

the enemy is a ghost-type monster. so will be dead with the item if feed it.

Think of it as a math problem: alive = +1, dead = 0, undead = -1. Phoenix Down adds +1, which is enough to bring a dead character (0) to life (0+1=1), and also enough to make an undead monster (-1) die (-1+1=0).

You should use the Westersand vender just outside the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea so you can go and sell without losing your chain.

Somewhere along the lines of 23 hours or so, maybe 12 if you get really good at it. The point of doing this is actually to start off the game at a really high level since it's so easy to do. This is actually the most ideal way of training since it only takes about 20 seconds to do this for 1000 exp.

leopardgecko, you're just using pheonix downs on it since its undead + cure = dammage, and it respawns since you went to the next area before it died "completely" . . . it only appears if you have low hp, so yeah just go in that area with low hp and pheonix down then run away until you dont have any more items, then sell loot and do it all over again

set your combat speed to the slowest, phoenix down is instant, but dark has a cast time, and it takes him a while to cast it with slow battle speed

Also, I got the gladius from Lindbur after like 25 tries lol... then I killed him... so cheap... he's tougher than Dustia and only gives 598 EXP...

So now with Gladius I do anywhere from 300-600 damage...

Soon as I hit 20... time to rape the palace...

I think you have to exit the area before the EXP/LP numbers show up.

morremuskel. use a phonenix down then run away before the exp and lp shows up on screen. you may have to leave his drop behind a few times to make it out in time. if it does show, retreat to Rabanastre and then go abck and do it again, also slowest game speed and wait ATB work best. Try Enemy sighted - phoenix down gambit to work better to.

You're hp has to be 10% or below to make him appear. Just beat yourself until he shows. If it's critical and he ain't showing, unarm then hit.

Yeah I did this method too. Although I took a much slower route... With penelo, I would steal from the werewolves for awhile then save and reload for awhile. This video would be more funny with the yakety sax music playing in the background, but meh whatever.
