hey thanks for the vid response! (sorry just checking mail since i uploaded) first my hair didnt start out this long :) the bandg is to control it -not stretch- while in the shower. when it was short i didnt have to do this. 2nd i was ALWAYS either in headband or sides pinned up at ur length - i sooo get it! i never just went out all-out until after a yr (i think, did a vid on it :) but even then it was rare. my reg vid is more how-to manage day to day. ?s answerd about that vid coming soon
@cynthiarf - I've been subscribed to you for a while so I've seen the growth. I almost never headband (very fragile edges), that's probably why I am overly concerned with stretch. that said, i've found your regimen really helpful. i've been co-washing a few times in the week as needed (humidity equals sweaty head!) AND i've already been doing the finger detangling you suggested for about a year now. thanks for your videos!
@olamina oh ok, i thot u were disappointed after tryg only once and not gettg results i got -glad to hear! wearg headbands dont have to pull edges, just set in place. some made of cloth wont pull at all. use a little gel (on 50% air dried) and palms to smooth back then set band in place wo dragging. also try hair pins to sculpt around ur face or just the sides (fro-hawk). once u find a stylg accessy ull be happier w the end result. dont fear, have fun! goto the $store and knock urself out :)
@joprix2381 - heya. nope don't miss locs at all. the truth is i never really wanted locs. i wanted long healthy natural hair and locs was the only way i knew of. i am grateful to youtube and all the cool people on here who taught me so many of the hows and how tos of growing long healthy natural hair. yay!
