The GT history/zombie nation video is played just before the team takes the field. this was the video played for the 05-06 season, so of course they would have some video from the Gailey era. This video is made by the GTAA, and they are definitely tech fans. The Gailey era had its low points, but it had some great moments as well (Auburn 03/05 /Miami 05/Calvin). We've had much better, but we have also had much, much worse. Oh, and THWG!

I am a Navy fan, and I want to tell you folks at Georgia Tech that you are beyond lucky to get Paul Johnson. He has been a pure winner everywhere he has been. He won I-AA titles at Georgia Southern, and, considering that Navy is a hard sell for talent, the job he did there was nothing short of phenomenal. In almost all of their games, the opposing team had much bigger, faster, and stronger players. Navy won many games and stayed close in many games that they had almost no business doing so in.

At Navy, Paul Johnson beat Notre Dame, he beat Army a record 6 straight times, and he took Navy to 5 straight bowl games. Paul is one of the greatest coaches right now, if not ever. The guy can recruit, too. One of the reasons Paul Johnson came to Georgia Tech was to go after winning a national title. IMHO, what he accomplished at Navy was as good as winning at least 1 national title at the highest level. I think that Paul will really make Georgia Tech a national power! Amen?

Paul Johnson is the complete package as a coach. He is a fine recruiter. He is a master motivator. He is a genius with Xs and Os. He is an awesome game coach. He is tough as nails. And, does this guy hate to lose? Put it this way-very few people hate to lose more than Paul. And, what is so awesome is that he installs this same mentality in his players.

Sure, since 2000, Tech hasn't celebrated the Saturday after Thanksgiving. But let's remember that the longest winning streak here does belong to GT: 9 games. AND, for more reasons on why G.Tech is historically more significant and better than its in-state rival, let's remember two questions: 1) For whom is the award for the best college football player named after? John HEISMAN, a coach at GT. 2) For whom is the award for the best college head coach named after? Bobby DODD, a coach at GT.

We have 2 National Championships-1980 and 1942. Oh, and your most recent one, is a half championship. You had to split it with Colorado. You may have more championships than us, but that will not mean much when you leave your cute little stadium after a seventh straight loss to the Dawgs this year.

Granted, you do have better academic stats than UGA. But, I would still rather spend a night with beautiful girls in Athens than with nerds playing Final Fantasy.
