  • THEN HE SAID, "THEN I WILL GET RID OF THE REST OF IT (GOVERNMENT ALTOGETHER)!

  • @lpcyu He will shrink the federal government.......and give the power to the states.....nothing wrong with that.

  • I SAID TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE LIBERATARIANS IN TARRYTOWN NEW YORK WHAT WOULD YOU DO WHEN YOU GET RID OF GOVERNMENT, AND HE REPLIED "jILL I DON'T KNOW RIGHT NOW BUT I WILL START BY GETTING RID OF SOCIAL SECURITY FIRST!"

  • @lpcyu He is the only candidate that will SAVE social security for the people that paid into it. He will give the option for the younger generation (that did not pay into it to opt out).

He believes ss is a contract that the government made and they need to honor that contract.

  • @lpcyu The other candidates are going to do nothing! The social security money is already gone. "Newsflash"-----We are broke!! They already spent it. They can print you some more money.........Why would I want to pay into a system and get back dollars that are worth less?

  • @lpcyu You need to do your research and listen to his plan and how he plans to fix this mess we are in. He will put that money back into SS, by cutting out our "wasteful" military spending(not to be confused with defense spending).....He will put that money back into SS and make our dollar stronger (you will be able to buy a lot more with your dollar)

  • RON PAUL IF ELECTED WILL ALSO NOT PROTECT THE HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS OF ALL AMERICANS! HE IS A NUT-CASE

  • @lpcyu He Will protect individual rights.

  • DO NOT VOTE FOR RON PAUL BECAUSE HE WANTS TO GET RID OF ALL SOCIAL SECURITY LIKE THE PRESIDENT OF THE LIBERATARIANS TOLD ME

  • RON PAUL SUPPORTS THIS POSITION! DO NOT VOTE FOR ROONPAUL

  • I HAVE THE LETTER PROVING I MET WITH HIM

  • THE PRESIDENT OF THE LIBERATARIANS IN TARRYTOWN NEW YORK TOLD ME HE WANTS TO BEGIN CUTTING GOVERNMENT BY GETTING RID OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY AND AMERICAN WELFARE SYSTEMS FIRST!

  • @lpcyu For the young people that didn't pay into it...........I'm 30, but would love to opt out of that failed system.

  • IT IS TRUE THE LIBERATIANS WANT TO CUT NOT ONLY WELFARE, BUT ALL OF GOVERNMENT AND WHEN I ASKED THEM WHAT THEY WOULD PUT THERE INSTEAD, THE MAN WAS SPEECHLESS

  • @lpcyu The federal governments roll is to protect our liberties....not take them away. The power needs to go back to the states. Our government is out of control..

  • Very good. Glad he explained that.

  • “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

    - Joseph Goebbels (Nazi propaganda minister)

  • Very well said

  • Yeah, but I'm confused here, Ron Paul thinks that business owners should have the liberty to segregate their customers if they want because their business is private property. However, I would make the arguement that their business is open and serving the PUBLIC. I mean what if a business owner said that it cost too much to make a handicapped ramp, handicapped accessible bathrooms, and signs ....so they refuse to serve the handicapped? Liberty doesn't mean free from compromise.

  • @SCWoodbury2009

lets say you have two businesses selling the same thing:

    cheese burgers

one place sells to everyone, while the other sells to only whites.

only one of those business will go out of business on sheer economics.

plus imagine what people will say about the place that only sells to whites or only sells to blacks.

its stupid to discriminate, because its hurts the business and the community.

  • @spydat3k0 I agree that business owners all love but one color--the color of GREEN. And I do think big corporations would not segregate their customers because it would be bad for business. However, I do think that small business in small towns or rural areas would still pratice segregation. You know, all of America isn't intergrated like cities and urban areas. I'm not even talking about "White Only". I think people would create their own religious tribes and religious communties.

  • @SCWoodbury2009

so, if a business refused to serve the handicapped, then they too would be making a mistake, and would lose business to the place serving everyone.

  • @spydat3k0 ....Yeah but you're thinking about cities and urban areas. Yes, businesses couldn't afford to segregate their customersn in dense areas of people and business. But in smaller towns and towns where there really isn't much choice to shop ....I can see buisness owners saying that it cost too much to make their shops accesible for the handicapped. So handicapped people would have to pay someone to shop for their needs. And what about the other side of business? Hiring?

  • @SCWoodbury2009 ----Are you trying to tell me that white business owners, black business owners, spanish business owners, asian business owners, jewish business owners, muslim business owners ....would all be hiring people who aren't "one of their own"? I mean yes, I agree with you that in cities, business owners would open their doors to everyone for profit, but what if a business owner say's "I only hire people of my own race and/or religion"?

  • @SCWoodbury2009

then again, they are going to lose.

when customers notice that mom n pop shop will only hire their own, people will stop shopping their, because that kind of hate is distasteful to most.

the government stepping in to force others to hire and serve is messed up.

that's coming strong from a black man who has been fired and treated like crap for being black. (this happened in 2004)

  • @spydat3k0 Well some places do hire only their "own." Even if this is the case they normally do not discriminate. There is also soft discrimination where they could take another customer first instead of outright denying service which I could see as more likely. Quite frankly the culture has to change.

  • @mdwharton2

your're right, I tried working for two asian restaurants, and was fired from both, and then replaced by white people. I know because I verified this myself.

but I'm over it, I have a career in Linux Administration, which is much better than delivering chinese food.

  • @SCWoodbury2009 They should be able to imo as long as they are not subsidized by the government.

  • @SCWoodbury2009 Just because you volunteer to help one person does not obligate you to help all, it is your body, your property.

  • @mdwharton2 ... Ah yes, just like a woman has her own body as her own property. Remind me, where does Dr. Paul stand on abortion again?

  • @SCWoodbury2009

he feels the federal government should step out of that arena as well.

  • @spydat3k0 ....I know, I heard this arguement before ..."State's Rights". I don't know, I thought America had a Civil War that settled the issue over "State's Rights". Look, I would love to believe that all 50 states are united under one flag, but instead, I think the only reason why these 50 states have never gone to war with one another since the Civil War, is because of one central (federal) government that ties it all together.

  • @SCWoodbury2009

I think you're right about that reason.

it was just another step towards the long term goal of world government.

  • @SCWoodbury2009 So you think Virginia would attack Maryland or something otherwise?

  • @mdwharton2 ....I don't know maybe. Anti-abortion people will not be satisfied just with their own states abolishing abortion. So you get one crazy pro-lifer from Virginia who bombs a abortion clinic in Maryland ....who knows how that might escalate.

  • @SCWoodbury2009 He sees the fetus as a person and it violates its rights to its own life. You may disagree with him on this, but he is consistent with what he is saying.

  • @mdwharton2 ....Alright fine. Dr. Paul becomes president and then somwhow overturns Row v Wade and makes abortion illegal as if the President was King or something. Anyways, so if abortion is now considered murder in America, do we now go back in the medical records of the last past 40 years and put every women, doctor, and nurse in prison for murder? I mean if abortion isn't murder today but is tomorrow, how do we then deal we all those abortions "murderers" in the past?

  • How did you come to the conclusion that people would be punished for something that they did that was legal at the time??
