  • Aww! Mr. Chloe is adorable! My rabbit, Blackie (already named when we adopted him from pets at home c:) just turned 6, so a while to go before he's Mr. Chloe's age! Sadly his breed only lives to 5 or 6 but he's hyperactive, playful, happy and is showing no signs of any illnesses or slowing down. (:

  • My Dwarf Bunny Thumper is only a few months old, i blow dry his fur sometimes, and he enjoys it :) He lies down and starts to sleep, he also thinks im scared of it haha, only hen the blow dryer is on, he licks my hand and acts like im sick or something, idk really how to describe it but its cute :)

  • Your Mr. Chloe has the same coloring as my Caesar, who turned 12 years old on Feb. 28th. I have used a cat comb on him for a while now, and it is good to know that is ok. He doesn't seem to mind it on the back half of his body but doesn't seem to like it around his shoulder area and back to midsection. He has cataracts and kidney stones, but he seems pretty contented. Your video is helpful and Mr. Chloe is a star.

  • @brettys1 thank you - i think if the bunny realizes he feels better after being gently brushed and washed, he doesn't mind the whole experience. :-) this was certainly the case with mr. chloe. then he got a nice treat!

  • my rabbit had the same problem now hes dead and i was crying alot :( I still remember him.

  • @xpinkxlipglossx1 oh, i am sorry to hear that. we can always remember our great rabbit pals and know they had a super life under our care.

  • @mrchloe yeah I don't know what happened to him he wasn't eating his food maybe he wasn't eating because he was already dead on the other side of the hutch. I cried later on.

  • :( thats soo sad poor bunny ...it made me sad and made me think if my bunny is like that i sware i wont leave him at all even if i have studies

  • u take good care of dat wabbit

  • That rabbit must be in the best home in the world.

  • Just wanted to say you're such a loving caring rabbit owner! My rabbit's turning 8 this year (now a senior) and I am just applauding you. Great job!

  • wonderful beautiful thank you very much winny

  • Great video....my old guy has the same problem with the runny eyes from blocked ducts. If only he would let me run his face under the tap!

  • great video!

  • great video!

  • that bunny must feel like hes in paradise.

your such a good owner =]

  • what a wonderful video! thank you for posting!!

  • By the way, I watched this video in June and it prompted buying a fur brush for Raisin - the resulting grooming went into our "Jack Rabbit Bauer in Bunny 24" video...

  • Hi Jeff, It is always good to see and hear stories of older bunnies doing well. My two Holland Lop bucks are now 7.5 & 8.5 y.o. and I'm well aware of their expected life spans. Luckily my guys have been healthy all of their life and we are just now beginning to deal with some of the more common problems with older rabbits. Great video, keep up the good work. I have videos of my 2 posted if you are interested.

  • I agree with everyone, your dedication to the bunny is awesome. I hope I can do the same with mine.

  • What a wonderful video! Mr. Chloe is so trusting of you and that is awesome! You have done a wonderful job raising him and your narration is excellent! You are a great "daddy".

  • This is an awesome video! You can tell Mr. Chloe loves and trusts you very much! Your commitment and patience is to be admired!

  • Thanks jeff for a wonderful sensitive fim about caring for rabbits, His trust in you is evident you hardly had to restrain him at all..that is year of work. You are doing lots right if he is 11. I just lost my Snior bun aged 7 2 weeks ago, but he was much bigger, Hope MrChloe is still well as I write

  • This was the information I was searching for since I recently lost a wild rabbit I raised who just had no desire to eat. However I have had this problem with the eyes on my senior C. rabbit for several months. Just when I think the problem has ceased it happens all over again. This condition they get is it painful to their eyes?

  • the vet said the drainage problem is not painful... certainly it is uncomfortable. the key is to make sure he never developes infection or that his eye doesn't get bruised (or hit by something.)

  • Thank you for showing the time, commitment and sensitivity required to care for the special needs of an older bun. He must trust you a lot to let you do this - but it sure seems to help his quality of life.
