first saw him as LETO in the Children of DUNE and i love him since then. James portrayed Mr. Tumnus' character to perfection! i just hope that when they make the MAGICIAN's NEPHEW, he would come back and portray the character of his father since Lucy mentioned that he looks like him, especially if his father was part of the battle when NARNIA was created... i want to see him in action this time around! ^_^

I have James McAvoy to thank for perking my interest in the movies. Sure, I liked Narnia well enough before the movies came out, and Tumnus has always been my favorite character, but as soon as I saw James in his faun getup, I fell for him like a load of bricks. Let's hope they don't take too long with "The Last Battle"; I'm dying to see James as dear old Mr. Tumnus again!

Tumnus was the whole reason I bothered to check out the first Narnia movie in the first place. When I first saw him, I was all: "Oh, my gosh, he is so hot!" Now, of course, I love Narnia for other reasons, but I have Tumnus to thank for converting me to the series! Sure, I liked Narnia well enough as a kid, but now I am a true-blue Narnia fan! Tumnus is my all-time favorite character, even in the books. James McAvoy was what convinced me to check the movie out in the first place. I know this isn't all about him, but I wish he had a little more screen-time. Seems the characters I love most are the ones shown least.
