@meringu Hey mate, in a larger amp such as a hot rod deluxe or jcm 900 this would be and issue if you moved it or knocked while the valves are hot as you could damage the valves or parts of the amp. In an amp of this size its not really an issue as the valves don't really run that hot. Blackstar don't even put in ventalation slots for them.

@slaytallimaiden Yea I don't think it's mega loud. I imagine effects work like any other amp. It's 1 watt, but that doesn't have a huge amount to do with volume.

@slaytallimaiden At full volume it's impressively loud, stick it in a 4x12 and it sounds really big! it's not gonna bring down wembley, Bon Jovi got there first. Pedals work fine in the front end but if you want effects i'd recommend the superchamp as the channels and effects are footswitchable. Beard in mind that the blackstar is 1watt and the fender is 15, you could take it to a blues jam and play over a drummer. You can't with the blackstar. Unless your drummers a pussy.

I got a problem with my blackstar amp. When I go from clean to distortion with my footswitch it works but when I wan't to go back to clean it doesn't work. Help please?

@egotripband The pickups are 498T in the bridge and 490R in the neck. They're the same pickups you get in a Les Paul Custom.

@FrankieFiveFingerZ Dude, I flick those switches like that all the time and believe me they can take a battering. My '77 les paul custom still has the original switch in it so thats 34yrs of pick up switching and it's never let me down. Gibson usa parts are fucking tough!
