  • This NEEDS to be remastered and put on DVD!!!!

  • That girl witht he teeth looks like Terra from Teen Titans

  • i used this video to reinforce my unit on the human body. it went right along with all of the vocabulary and ideas my third graders were learning and wrapped it up in a fun way. the students were excited to hear words they were familiar with, such as femur, tibia, skeleton, organs etc. One student said "it was really cool how the body was in a blob when the skeleton jumped out because that is what would really happen if we didn't have our skeleton!!"

  • @qtpie23451my sister did the same thing. she used the history lessons to help her with the preamble.

  • wow..this is totally cool...hadn't checked it out in awhile.....it used to creep me out when i was kid......

  • Skull Knight approves of this video.

  • Man, I needed to watch this for my college anatomy. Hahha

  • @cinimini37 I was listening to the late Paul Harvey about 2 years ago when he jokingly asked "Is your cell phone connected to your jawbone?" I thought it was funny.

  • Them bones is an Alice in Chains song.. That is AWESOME

  • Anybody ever heard the bones song on "Clifford's Singalong Adventure"? At the beginning of the song, we can see a young boy pouring water onto a cardboard bone, and then drying it off with a towel. Get that joke? It's "Dry Bones"!

  • ooooooo yeeaaaaa

  • BUY THE DVD!!! The extras are great- make your own playlists- 2 discs- my daughters LOVE it and it makes great background noise./music while they are playing... they songs sink in and they don't realize they are learning anything!

The information will be available when they are older and need it! BEUTIFUL PROGRAMS!!! They need to make more stuff like this!!

  • @clburnston

HA! Too bad they didn't have a SPELLING School House Rock song... lol! :)

On the DVD it has songs that had never been released before. worth every penny!

  • That is soooo true! I just picked this up for my nieces for Christmas, and they have it memorized.

  • where can i get it??

  • sounds like Nipsey Russell

  • O_O My mom used to watch this. It's School House Rock, right?

  • 1:35 All Stars ^^ <3

  • When i was younger and i saw this, it scared the FREAK out of me! x-D HAHA!

  • @luccaskunk - The opening chorus is from the song "Dry Bones," which was originally a Negro spiritual.

  • THEY NEED THIS BACK ON TV

  • @Leansipper44 Amen!

  • @Leansipper44 : Bbbbbbwwwwwaaaaaahhhhhhhh hhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhahhahahahahhahahahahahah

  • @Leansipper44 i wish you could make that NEED! bigger old chap.

  • @Leansipper44 I totally agree. ABC in the morning was so great until they took this off!

  • sounds like ray charles. :D

  • GROOVY!!!

  • I remember finding this a bit spooky when I was little, especially the sounds the cartilge and teeth made. Anyone else?

  • My science showed this video to us, when we learning about the body, and when it started playing, I was like, "DUDE! This schoolhouse rock!", and everyone else in the class, was like "what's schoolhouse rock?"... haha

  • MEMORIES

  • OUCH

  • love the token black guy :D

  • the base ball player ate his gum!!! lol

  • Why were the lungs beating and the heart staying still?

  • haha yeah

  • Everything is the same... we will still be killing each other

  • YA! HERES A CHANGE!: stop poluting and littering all adults!! this world will be ours soon!! don't detroy 'em!!!

  • I'm in that generation, and I'm not like that. When I have kids, they will watch videos like this....they won't even be allowed to watch gross crap like hannah montana or jimmy neutron.

  • @DresdenAnachronism You sound like a girls mother that works at my school.

  • @cubre99 um.......i'm 18......

  • @DresdenAnachronism I'm just sayin

  • @DresdenAnachronism Yeah!!! -_- I would totally have my kids watch this one day when I have some :3

  • @DresdenAnachronism i sorta agree i mean jimmy neutron is a good show its about science but hannah montana ya no hannah montna

  • @DresdenAnachronism jimmy neutron was the shit.

  • @DresdenAnachronism

so your saying your going to treat them like elementary schoolers their whole life? eventually they will grow out of this.

  • @PrincessTinkerbells I said no such thing and everyone can see that. I don't plan on keeping them naive or immature. I just plan on not showing them crap.

  • @DresdenAnachronism well i'm sorry. sometimes text messageas and emails and youtube comments and things such as that look and are taken much more litteral then they are meant to be taken. and i get super defensive. im sorry. and i agree with you. i feel the same way. when i'm older and I have kids, the children's tv shows im going to show them are things like "Maurice Sendak's Little Bear" or "Bear in the Big Blue House" or "Blues Clues" rather than "Dora" or "Handy Many" or "Yo Gabba Gabba"

  • i really am very optomistic. i am known as the "always happy girl" at school, which i guess isnt all that bad but at least im not the "always sad and grumpy girl"

  • i totally agree with you. those kids are in my generation and they look like discusting nasty slobs.

  • These videos were very educational when I was growing up. We should bring them back so that the next generation does not become ignorant like alot of these teenagers running around with their pants hanging from their asses.

  • This series of cartoons is one of the best educational tools around. This series of cartoons covered a lot of subjects.

  • Anyone know the singer? He did lots of the Schoolhouse Rock pieces (Conjunction Junction at least)

  • Jack Sheldon.

  • Is it me or does he sounds like Ray Charles?

  • my favorite one is the shot heard round the world

  • <3 i love u S

  • awesome

  • This was always my favorite one, along with Interplanet Janet and Nouns...

  • i love this song haha!

the cartilage part always grossed me out though.

  • WOW, I don't think that using a gospel song on PBS would fly anymore! "Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones, oh, hear the word of the Lord."

    Cool!

  • What do you mean PBS? These were originally broadcast on ABC!

  • The Intro harmony was raw

  • i always loved the learning aspect of these, and i always found that "tweet tweet tweet" funny.

  • Very shocking.

  • if only i saw this video last week with the legs part cuz i had a test on ligaments...oh well

  • I've always loved schoolhouse rock

  • *Words to live by*

Drinking Milk up-glass or two, will help your bones to stay in shape and do their job for you!

  • It's important to get at least 2 servings of dairy products everyday to keep from getting brittle bone disease (osteoporosis).

  • wonderful

  • go watch school house of rock instead you had a miscalculation , wow cant believe you suck at realizing stuff

  • I can't believe I found this song.

  • Haha...I love this video. I watched SHR: Science Rock all day today, what with Body Machine, Them-not-so-dry Bones, Electricity, all those. Man, this vid is incredible

  • This is such an awesome video! Such good memories! :D

  • That singer's goin' crazy in this one! Awesome

  • This is good music that you can't hear anywhere else but here!THAT'S CLASSIC!
