Nice Job dude. I got the same but I did Cone's '62 Precision Bass Customized to all the detail he has. Except for the relic look. I didn't had the heart to relic my 1500 dollar bass. Check my sum41 bass covers with that bass.

why does everybody copy 1 particular guitar player? create something new, something own, man. you could have installed the seymour duncan without unwireing the neck pickup. and instead of crosses, you could tape... hell, i don't know... fucking circles? :D like this everybody's gonna be like "look at that DW-wannabe" but if you had an own style i'd be more like "dude, look he reminds me of DW" - "yeah, but he's got circles on his tele, that's way fucking cooler!"

The Deryck Signature squier is actually not bad at all. The thing that usually sucks about squiers is that the pickups are absolute trash, but this has a specially designed Seymour Duncan pickup. And the rest of the guitar is mostly pretty good, so all in all, its a decent guitar. I definitely love mine!

the one that they sell in squire is single pick up. if you look at the sum lives u can clearly see that there are 2 pick ups for the black guitar

@Oinksterify of course would you want to have a hole where your pickup is supposed to be? the wires will get broken inside but deryck only uses 1 pickup so it's the same thing to say he "took one off"

he customized the squier one which is actually not bad (the pickup and fretboard) but the body wood sucks and I'd add a duncan sh-4 jb to the neck if i could but well deryck wanted one pickup on his squier because he only uses one

@markny2000 Check out Musicians Friend under pickups, Seymour Duncan Sh-4 JB. Personally i recommend an invader for a punk sound, but a jb is fine too.

@darylho1994 I don't now the dimension. I would use fabric tape instead of electrical tape. fabric tape has stronger colours and you won't see the black underground if your guitar is black. sorry for my bad english :)

@animeaddict24711 Strat neck pocket, but get the pickguard from terrapinguitars[dot]com because those are made to fit authentic Fenders whereas Warmoth only fits Warmoth products. When I built this I didn't know about Terrapin Guitars, which is why I ended up with Warmoth.

@Xuyah Screw holes didn't match up so new ones had to be drilled. Get a pickguard from Terrapinguitars[dot]com, those are made for authentic Fenders.

dont compare this tele to that squier, i got myself a white whibley squier, and a tele deluxe 72 just like this one, THRUST ME this fender Blows it away, its much more brighter, the neck is totally different (same shape, but the finish is way better) and the tele deluxe is way more comfortoble to wear

i think he used the original pickup cover, just put it over the new pickup. if you're not in a situation where you have an original cover, gibson sells gorgeous ones on their website for like 12 bucks
