I would say that our current law-systems have pros and cons, the bible-laws have pros and cons and the sharia laws have pros and cons, in the sence that all of these have some rules that I agree with and some rules I disagree with.

actually, on a second viewing, this video is quite ingenius in how it conveys its message. the men are on horses--an ancient and outdated mode of transport used in indo-european wars, that is still nontheless more effective in competition against the women on the bicycles--a relatively modern invention with no military history. but the women are not only at odds with the men, but amongst themselves, too. they race with chadors (anachronistic and impractical for bikes). interesting.

So no, you are right i am not very familiar with Islam. But what I do know from the Muslim family I know is that Islam is just like any other religion. It's mostly about God (Allah in their case) and your personal relationship with that higher power.

@hitoki1354 Sorry, forgot to mention that I live in the States as well. I got that information from a book called "Children of Jihad" by Jared Coen. It's about him (an American Jew) travelling and talking to normal everyday young people (15-25) in the middle east. It's a really good book, and you get to learn alot about how their culture views ours. and also from watching Henry Rollins' spoken word tours.
