I hate hate hate it when two-faced communicators use the "out-of-context" excuse. Savage says his comment is out of context because Beck didn't play the entire show. Anyone w/ two brain cells to rub together knows that overdiagnosis is itself an epidemic. But to claim that Autism is the result of under-slapped children is insane. He backs off the comment here, under inquiry. But don't claim you were saying something you clearly were NOT saying to begin with.

People, kids and adults alike, are being "diagnosed" with every phony disease and condition that comes down the pike - most or all of which are not even real. Follow the money trail, it all leads to the same place.

My son has severe asthma and it is real. He isn't a minority though. It is terrible to have it. Always at the Doctors and hospital and missing school. We didn''t get any help at all. He is an adult now and still has it.

Savage has a valid point. I agree too many children are diagnosed with illnesses they do not have. Bipolar is one of them. Misdiagnosing a child or even an adult can permanently affect them.
