This is amazing!!! I saw this on the "spotlight'" sidebar on the main youtube page and it caught my eye mostly because my name is Colleen as well. Creepy. I now love her music.

i only heard Colleen's music because i watched a film called The Unloved and all the songs from it were by her i found out today, can't believe i had never heard her stuff before! this music is TRUE BEAUTY :)

I'm brazilian and I can say I never thought I'd see Colleen performing live. but, what odds?, she played in my town last year.
It took me three or four days to touch the ground again.

I saw her perform this live in a really intimate performance two years ago. It was so moving and disrupted the ideas I had about what a single musician could do in a given moment. She now opts to perform the piece on viola da gamba, which is a little less affecting, less majestic, in my opinion.

I, too, saw her perform this track live last year at Merkin Concert Hall. I was mesmerized in the way she constructed this piece by using multiple instruments (along with delay pedals, etc) on a single track. God, she's brilliant.

This one is a tad melancholic, but that's not to say it isn't good. It lacks the dreamy qualities other Colleen tracks I've heard have had, and it's more serious and cinematic. I kinda like the retro footage too, especially the kittens, even tho the footage is admittedly blurry.
