The Penance Stare makes the victim feel all the pain, phsyical and emotional, that they have caused in their life, for good or ill.

@ZXShadow1 Actually what it is believed about the Shun Goku Satsu.....well for starts it literall translates to "Instant Hell Murder" anyways with that in mind from whst I've heard there is some Buddhism (I think I spelled that right) within the technique because they believe there is 16 layers of Hell 6 made of fire and 6 made ice and what Akuma does is he not only sends the soul through those 16 layers of hell he actually uses the past sins the victim to harm their soul like Ghost Rider

@Stiengrabber I knew Shun Goku Satsu mean't Instant Hell Murder. The Shun Goku Satsu puts Akuma at risk since he must be in a complete Zen state of mind while using the Shun Goku Satsu. If he leaves the Zen state, the damage is dealt back at himself. And the move does destroy the soul since when Akuma was fighting Gen, Gen was able to empty his soul in time, before the Shun Goku Satsu destroyed his soul. Samething with Gouken.

u know it was really shocking to find out that Ryu is the son of Gouki before becoming Akuma. which is y out of all the street fighter characters, those two r the only ones who can become evil. sure there r others like evil ken and so on but those r just add-ons for fun. in the real story, its just ryu and akuma who r capable. which is also y akuma only desires to fight only ryu and not the others.
