Dark Souls isn't simple or small it's huge and god knows how BanDai made such a massive game without any loading screens?? It doesn't have an immersive storyline like TES series though. If Skyrim's fighting mechanics are as good as Dark Souls I think we're looking at game of the year for sure!

We all know that Bethesda are more than capable of achieving greatness but I think I speak for most when I say that the skyrim will set THE new standard for role-playing games, one that other developers are going to be chasing for quite some time. :( 7 days people, bid farewell to your friends and family.

@Warrioker your kidding me right? I also believe Skyrim will be a great game but stating Dark Souls is too "simple"? Have you played it? I've played many of Bethesda's games and id like to state their not so difficult as they are fun, Dark Souls has many players require thinking lgic and strategy when fighting enemies, only to know basically anything in the game can effectively kill you.

@NeonXecho I´m tempted to agree with you but despite myself I still catch myself drawing subconscious comparisons between the two games ( Though I obviously haven´t played skyrim yet ) And I´m certainly not the only one, so it must be justified to an extent. The art style is an obvious one and less discerning gamers could easily be forgiven for mistaking the two at a glance then there´s the apparent similarities in the interface.

But they are VERY different, and the devil is in the details.
