I see a comment below saying this is the best diesel engine, all be it very good. The 335d beats it I think, ed model capable of 50mpg but 5.6 to 60, plus remapped 700nm of fun
@nickcray - Hmm never thought of that, to be honest it didn't seem to be braking at all really which is usually quite noticeable in other vehicles, all I know is that he needed new tyres after this!
I think his brakes were alright, not that we could tell of course due to the stink of rubber!
@nickcray Why would the brakes be cooked?!!! I never touched them! So much tourque, that once you have managed to get the wheels to loose adhesion then it just keeps on going, as long as you dont put it into a straigh line for too long. All you are doing is getting the car to loose lateral grip rather than just linear grip.
@gt2homas The E-Diff works on the brakes, so it would have been braking the wheel slipping most.. I had a 135i for a bit, was stupidly fast, but the ride was shocking and traction in the wet was rubbish!
@nickcray Ride and handling just down to Run-Flat Tyres. I have put non run flat P-Zero rosso's on mine, and its made a huge difference, far far better. Obviously i haven't got the power of 135, but got more torque and that makes the difference in the wet, and the ride is alot better too. (I put 255/35/18 on my rears and 235/40/18 fronts so wider too)
HAHAHAHA that is fuckin quality mate! Check out the amount of marks left that is loads! It gets annoying when the tyres keep smoking for like 3-4minutes lol.
